  1. Art, my email is [email protected]. Forward that vid. Tasty lookin'.

On a more serious note, I try not to care. It's hard when your best friends rag on you, your family gives you shit, and old aquaintances stop talking to you because they think you're too "into yourself".

Ya know, it really doesn't matter. I've beaten down enough people with my side of the fight. I don't need to convert people. It sounds funny when I start trying to convince people, anways.

Getting into denim has taught me that you shouldn't judge people on what they do, wear, etc. Let people have their opinions. Then, you can have your own.

Oh well, it felt good to vent. People are going to talk. If I care to, I'll give the willing a good pro-denim speech.

Maybe I should carry que-cards in my pocket at all times. It sounds like a good safety measure.

  2. I'm pretty similar in height and weight with wider hips too. I bought some 5010 sz 28 and couldn't button any button for a long time. I just left them unbuttoned and wore them that way for a few hours and was able to get all five eventually. They bruised my hips for a week, but now they're near perfect in the waist.

    The modern denim badass.

I cryed about my shredded back knee with my SEXSC at 30" tagged, but only true after a soak (I'm a true 30").

What's your waist size? Height and weight too while we're at it. :D

  3. My SEXSC fit me damn fine. That may be an exception, though.

Then again, I have seen SC's worn well. The snug fit seems to be the best look for them.

As for Zez, the SC's look overly baggy on the front and side pic, yet the back pic has a very interesting fit. I sorta dig it.

Now, them LVC? That's hot shit. Hella kudos. I love the fit and the extremely discrete cuffs. What's the inseam on them?

Also, could someone refer me to an online store (preferably in English) that carries LVC? I have little to no knowledge of them. Hell, I might as well go kill some time Googling that brand.

  4. I have realized that there aren't very many people that can understand the passion for quality denim. The problem is almost always the price. People have trouble appreciating something more expensive then what they think it's worth and so unheard of that they also don't know about it.

I feel judged by a bunch a hypocrites. That bitch down the street yanks my tail for spending $300 on a fine ass pair of pants, while he sits there playing his new Xbox 360 that just broke his bank of $600 with all the extras.

    I say fuck these fucks.

Denim is a fine ass hobby. It's better than collecting pieces like the other bitches.

Fuck your mountain bike. I have a shitty mongoose and bitching ass pants that don't allow me to ride it too well.

Mmm, tastes like hate with a shake of spite.

What are ya'll's thoughts on the matter?

  5. Can't wait!

I like that the pants have vertical stripes of dye on them. I forget why this is. I think it's a result of the particular spinning technique used.

Also, did your Ostrich patch shrink oddly? The top of mine shrunk, but the bottom is still the original size. It looks off now. Though, I cold soaked mine. That may have made the difference.

  6. Oh shit.. I hope you don't mind that replacing my tiled SugarCane desktop at school ;D.

Anyways, I LOVE! the mink oil.

My shoes are very oily/greasy right now. Hella water-proofed. The leather has darkened considerably, and the scuffs became dark spots of contrast.

If it stays this way, these shoes will look amazing. Well, I'm still waiting on the true final results.

By the way, how often should I apply the cleaner and a new coat of mink oil?

  7. Funny. That happens to be the pair my brother owns. I think he bought a 29" waist, though. They look practically the same on us. I'm larger and wear a 30". He's smaller with a 29".

The only difference is the color. Them 310's have amazing fade because of the contrast of that deep indigo with that light blue barely poking through.

I'ma go try his own while he's sleeping...

Ok. Legs, thigh and lower, are fatter on the f310's. I like my SEXSC legs, though.

Waist is the same, I guess. I could barely button it around my hips with that loss of an inch.

    Well, hope it helps.

I should go sneak these back to the chair he throws them on at night.

  8. Could be.

I just used the cleaner with very little result except that they're slightly more shiny and have aquired the smell of the cleaner.

After homework, I'm applying the Mink Oil, then off to Beowulf. That movie looks more sexy than 386's Sams. Ok, not really. The Savior can't even touch them tricks.

--edit-- Just read the instructions. Apparently, I have to let the shoes sit overnight after applying. Well, after the movie then.

  9. No polish? Some lady recommended it to me if I wanted to cover up the parts where the finish on the leather had been torn off from rough play on asphalt.

    Still no?

I kind of like the torn up look. I'll post pics to show the scuffs.

Also, there seems to be water damage on the tip of the right shoe. The leather is still incredibly dark as if it was still wet. Is there any way to reverse this discoloration?

  10. Cream polish on nubuck doesn't sound like a wise idea. All should do is get some nubuck cleaner and some mink oil, etc. to soften/condition the leather.

Ok, I went back to Kroger and bought the following Kiwi products: Suede & Nubuck Cleaner, Tan Shoe Polish, and a huge plastic container of Mink Oil.

What order should I use these on my shoes? Currently, they are really scuffed up and dirty.

  11. Thank you, Mother England (U.S. here). Hmm, I knew I should have posted here before I shelled out $5.. Oh well, live and learn.

And to D, Cordovan is hot shit. I like dem shoos.

    -JF

p.s. What is Cream Polish for? If not on my nubuck, I can probably still use it on something other.

  12. Ok, I have a pair of nubuck leather slip-ons (Clae Garvey Carmels) that are pretty beat to hell.

In an attempt to revitalize the guys, I purchased Kiwi Express: No buff Cream Polish (Brown).

What effects, both good and bad, will using this have on my shoes?

    Thanks ahead.

  13. my point is, one can only get to know a denim with living together for a good 6 months.

My first pair of SEXSC Canes have treated me like a king. Everytime I look down at these beauties embracing my lower half, I smile.

It's an amazing experience to wear a piece of art on one's body.

Personally, I have not been able to look at denim the same. In a way, it's depressing. There aren't many local people who you can share exerpts of your denim adventures with.

Waking up is fun, though. I get to brush my teeth, gag, then look up to see my brother proudly standing there in his F310s. At least we can both share memories. Who better than your best friend to be able to relate with in core interests?

  14. AHHHH, Cherry looks pimp in the fit pics! I love the slight dressup, minus the scarf. The scarf kind of makes you look like you enjoy flying the old-style planes during your breaks. Just need a well placed pair of goggles and leather skull cap in the background.

I'll keep that drink combination in mind. Appreciate the subtle tip.
