8 mile hike today in my 405's.
What soles?

I machine wash with soap at 1 year and then every 3 months or so. I vary between cold and hot depending on what fadez I want.

Michael, Are the shirts pre-shrunk? I received my shirt today and I think it fits fine (will wait for the girlfriend to make final judgement) and snug. If it shrinks at all it will definitely not fit.

MJK.
Hoping to hell it's not too small... We'll see.

I wear belts with all of my jeans and I've never come close to any sort of wear like that. Did you condition or tan the patch at all?

How do you guys kill the leather patches so badly?

Killer jawns. Well done.

Iron your shirt, looks sloppy!
And too small.

X-post from AW thread.
15 months, 2 wash
Contrast stitching finally visible.

I did a warm wash. They shrunk back to original shape, got rid of stretching. They'd stretched a ton.

I want a lot of shrinkage. They're sanfordized and have been washed once before, but I think cold. So for big shrink go hot? Will I lose all my indigoz?

I've either lost weight or my jawns have stretched out like crazy (more likely the latter). I want to shrink 'em up with a wash. Should I do a warm or hot wash?

Final fit pix after hot wash. I'm surprised by how much indigo they lost - Bottom pic. is most representative of color.

Is everything listed here posted on your website? I'm interested in a LS shirt but I don't see it on your site to order.

Alright, I manned up and followed this man's advice:
Hot Wash, extended cycle, inside out, no spin cycle
hang dry
They're line drying now.

i wouldnt worry about it. theyre going to stretch so much its going to blow your mind and you will wonder why you even worried.
Thanks. I'll do another hot soak tomorrow for 45 minutes and throw in a pot or two of boiling water.
I line dried until damp and then wore them until they fully dried. This second time should I tumble dry them in a dryer until damp and then wear to dry or just repeat the same drying process as the first time?

Roping on the hem is achieved after a hot soak right? Mine didn't rope at all. I'm thinking of soaking again from the knee down because I'm hesitant to shrink the crotch any more than it already has.

My back left holds a mini moleskine sketch book a fat marker and a cell phone.
Damn that's impressive. On a hot summer day, a moleskine in my back pocket would have pages soaked through and through.

got some thighs on ya boy
(pause)
Ya I do, which is why finding jeans that fit properly can be difficult. They're significantly smaller now than they were just 6 months ago.

I relate to this far more than the naval theme personally..
I totally agree. I never liked any of the naval stuff with the exception of the classic pea coat they made.
Mechanic's sweatshirt is a need.

What do you do with your cell phone? I've been front pocketing mine uncomfortably for years. My concern with the back pocket is sweat and smashing the screen up somehow (iPhone).

Here are pictures on the right after I soaked hot tap water for 45 minutes and then wore damp until they dried.
I think this is a good fit for me. No need to repeat the hot soak again, right?
What do you think of the length? Should I keep as is or throw in a cuff?

Anyone speak Japanese? I'll be in Osaka next month and I want to stop in to Samurai and see if I can get my jawns signed and maybe some arcs painted since they were removed in the US.
