  1. I recall that Sugarcane has done khaki colored denim dyed either with mud or green tea. Is that right and do they still make them? If they do, can anyone speak to the color or share photos? Is it more brown or green? Could they pass as non-jeans in an office? Thanks much.

  2. I've moved from Boston to the Bay Area and this jacket is just too warm for my new climate. This is a fantastic jacket that I've only worn a handful of times as the pictures confirm. What makes this particular jacket unique is I've had the sleeves fully lined by my tailor with suit-lining material. I did this because I found the rough wool in the sleeves would cause my shirt sleeves to bunch and was itchy. The result of the suit-lining is low friction comfort and happiness for your arms.

I am asking $265 to ship anywhere in the CONUS.

Here is the jacket on Filson's site: http://www.filson.com/products/double-mackinaw-cruiser.10041.html?fromCat=true&fvalsProduct=mens/coats-jackets&fmetaProduct=1011

  3. These boots are about a half size too large for me. They're marked a UK 10 but fit like a US 11.

Made by hand in Zimbabwe by the Courteney Boot Company, there are sold in the US by one source, Westley Richards, a safari and gun company out of Montana. These might be the most badass boots I've ever seen.

Here's their product page for the Selous: http://www.westleyrichards.com/show/courteney_product_selous.html

    and Courteney's:

    Price is $225 shipped.

Includes all original accessories (unused), boot bag, polishing cloth, brush, wax, extra laces, and badass buffalo hide carry bag.

  4. Yo superfriends,

I was hoping I could get some guidance on polishing this guy:

    IMG_2646.jpg

The brush, rag, and natural polish came from the manufacturer with the shoe.

Do I apply apply the polish the rag, brush it in vigorously with the brush, and then buff with the rag? Is any water/wetting required? Any help is appreciated. If it makes any difference the leather is antelope and water buffalo. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Been packpacking/living in Asia for almost 4 months now. I think some kind of cancer is growing in the jeans. They haven't been washed since I left the States and the air in Delhi is horrid. Jeans are Samurai S5000VX.

  6. Semi related: Anyone know where I can find a decent pocket notebook with a built in pen holder, ideally leather? The Moleskines are nice but I want the pen to be in the notebook, not outside so I don't smash it.

    Thanks.

  7. I was influenced by some of the Flathead hooks so might start looking there. I'll probably start producing some come May 2010 or earlier if I can work out a deal with a jewelry shop while I'm out here in India.

Before I forget, I want a notebook that I can slip in the backpocket, I want it to have an interior strap for a stubby pen, and it'd be cool if it was leather. I've seen stuff like this around but I'm having trouble finding it now.

    Any help is appreciated.

  8. You just took it next level.

From what I understand, it floods your thyroid glands so that, during nuclear fallout, your thyroid can't absorb bad stuff and the radioactive iodine just passes through your kidneys. I don't know, the CDC explains it better.
