  1. If it's not clear from the post, let me know and I'll post pics, but here's the issue I have:

My favorite APC NS (3-4+ years old) are ripped basically 2" up from the hem, and the extent is the entire back of the hem and just about ripping towards the front of it.  So the hem itself isn't ripped, but roughly the whole back when lain flat is ripped on both legs.  It was basically the result of cuffing them 2" and letting them drag on the ground when they were wet.  Won't make that mistake again.

Denim Therapy quoted me about $180 to repair it--I assume it is quite a job, but I'd be happy with something a little more half-assed considering that's literally the price of the jeans today.  Anyone have any ideas?

  2. Doing some memorial day cleaning, take advantage of my closet being too full, as well as my entire body changing after a year of lifting. I take paypal and ship to the lower 48.

Sorry for the poor pics. I can try to take better ones if needed/requested.

Feel free to ask for more measurements, just be specific.

    Michael J Krell Houndstooth button-up, Size 38

    $60----50

--Awesome button-up, tried on, never worn.. I just wish I didn't buy it too small. Marked side 36 but Michael assured me its a 38. Mother of pearl buttons, great houndstooth blue and white pattern, fits nice and slim. Originally bought for $120+ or something.

    Spruce Hoodie

    $20

--Bought from someone on Superfuture who never wore it. I wore it four times, washed twice. Light brown looking stain on front of hood near neck, should come out with a wash but I'm selling at a big discount because of that. Very soft lining, fits very nice.

    --Measurements:

    -Pit to pit: 20.5"

    -Sleeve length: 19"

    -Length: 25.5"

    Shades of Greige two-pocket shirt

    $30

--One of my favorite fitting shirts ever. Very slim in the body and sleeves. Plackets for rolling up the sleeves. Buttons feel like MOP (and I believe they are). Pictures don't do this one justice, makes it look like a generic western but it's truly a great shirt. Usually I have to tailor shirts but this one fit like a glove all around right from the rack.

    --Measurements:

    -Measurements: 19"

    -Sleeve length: 18"

    -Length: 29.5"

  3. I guess you could say I'm rather frustrated with APC NS jeans by now. I'm 6'2, 170 lbs, and I wear a 32 in most jeans (32 fit nice and slim in RRDS). I do lift, so my thighs and ass are probably kind of thick, but here's what I've tried:

APC New Standard 29 (could button the waist all the way up from the beginning, but the thighs and ass were painted on)

APC New Standard 30 (pretty tight but wearable, knew they wouldn't stretch as far as I wanted them to)

APC New Standard 31 (a bit too slim still for my tastes, they have a really weird warping/creasing where my 30's whiskered nicely, and I just don't see these stretching any more after 3+ weeks of pretty hard wear, not to mention they were literally falling off my waist)

I also tried a 30 in APC Rescue, but that was like a year ago when I was a lot smaller and my thighs were tiny, I felt they were too big for me and the ass was too saggy. I think there's a chance they could fit better now (if only I hadn't sold them).

Should I try the 30 in Rescue? I've just given up on the NS fit, considering when the waist is two sizes too big for me, the thigh still doesn't stretch to where I want it to be.

  4. I've got two questions about Kicking Mule, specifically the 1950s.

Firstly, should I get the raw or one-wash kind? The only place that really has these in stock is Revolve, so I'll be buying them from their site. They have both.

Secondly, I usually stick true-to-size with most jeans, and I'm a 32 in Nudie RRDS, a 32 in Ernest Sewn Fulton, and a 30 in APC New Standard. What size should I get for the 1950s, a 31 or a 32? I want a fit similar to the RRDS.

  5. Here's the deal: I'm going back to school on Friday, and I need this stuff out by Thursday. So I'm asking much lower prices on stuff than I normally would.

APC Lambs Wool Lined Cardigan Size Small

Pictures do not do this justice. Made of 100% Lambswool, this thing is so soft and also incredibly warm. Can be zippered, buttoned, or zippered and buttoned. Cuffs and hem are both ribbed. Can be buttoned all the way up to the neck. Vertical pockets, lined with the same stuff as the inside of the cardigan. I'm normally a medium in APC, and I fit into this really well, it's nice and slim, but also leaves room for layering too. Bought for something crazy like $350, selling for $195. If this doesn't sell by tomorrow morning, I'm just keeping it.

    Pit to Pit: 20.5"

    Collar hem to bottom: 24"

    Shoulder to sleeve: 26.5"

Samurais, APCs, Skulls, Ande Whalls sold.

  6. I bought a pair of 0500XX Samurais, and they have this really annoying crotch and ass problem. Both parts look incredibly poofy and goofy. I thought at first that it was just because the jeans were still stiff, and while this may be true for the ass, the jeans won't crease above the bottom of the crotch. Maybe I need to hike them up higher, but then they just look like grandpa jeans. I wasn't looking for the slouchy, fashiony pair of jeans, but I wasn't expect thing. Should I just sell them? Weird thing is that every other part fits great.

  7. This is a weird question but whatever.

My 0500's fit fine all over, except the areas right and left of the crotch seem to have too much fabric for them to fit well for me. I've seen a couple threads with people calling it "poofing in the crotch". I'm getting normal creasing except in those parts, where it looks like I have blimpy crotch. Any advice? Did I size wrong? I'm not a noob to buying raw denim, just Samurais...

  8. I'm new to Japanese denim (only wore Nudies and APCs before this), specifically Samurai denim. I guess I don't really remember well enough, but it seems like in the upper thigh near the crotch, there's a big "bulge" where there should be whiskers developing. I don't know if this is just stiffness or a sign that the jeans are a little slimmer than they should be, but I looked at pics of others with 0500XX jeans and they look as slim or slimmer than mine.

So will it go away with wear?

  9. Bought a 31 0500XX, one down from my usual size. They've been hot soaked once, and they're already a little tighter than my liking (though I think most on this board would call it slim). I did a search, but how much does XX denim stretch normally?

  10. So I'm debating between the S0110XJ and the S0500XX jeans. Right now, I love my RRDS true to size (32). They're a pretty "regular" fit on the slim side. I'm a skinny guy--6'2, 170 lbs--but I lift so I have some fairly thick quads, and I hate the painted-on look. I'm just looking for a straight leg, or slight taper.

Which would you guys reccommend, and how should I size them? A 12.25-12.5" thigh is ideal for me, but a 12" thigh is ok if it streches (post-soak).

  11. What the fuck does this mean?

I think he means good fucking luck selling a t-shirt you know jackshit about for $75. It'd be different if you knew the brand, size, or jesus fuck--at least posted some measurements. I'll go print my own SuFu shirt on some random AA shirt for $10.
