Pictures on your worn ones would be really nice. Just front and back, and maybe some details you think is worth takin' a picture of.
Sorry this has taken so long. I've had to lighten these in photoshop as the pics were sooo dark, but assuming my screens calibrated OK- the colours are a pretty good representation...

Look good. That's just the shape i'm into. What make/model are they?
I recently bought these, and as much as I like them, I'm still overwhelmed with curiosity as to how they stack up, quality wise. They seem nice enough to me, but since there's no shortage of more learned individuals on SuFu, I figured I'd post some up close pics and get your opinion:And the fit, in case you were interested:

Mine aren't low rise as such- more like a '40's/50's model rather than, say, a 20's/30's model.
ho hum.

Cheers Jake,
If i'm not mistaken there were 2 different styles done, both with the same detailing but one pair had a mahoosive rise and the other style (the one's I have)- much lower
I've only worn mine a few times and are still unwashed. They seemed to be pretty limited stock and unfortunately by the time i'd got round to getting them, the only sizes left were slightly larger than i'd normally go for.
Will keep them safe and cared for.

Not sure if this has been asked before- apologies if so, but it didn't show up in any search.
Anyone know anything about EVIL jeans? Picked up a pair in Camden, London, just wondered if anyone knew what the deal was on them. How many pairs were made up , limited to 1 run or if more will be made, who/where made them up.
Etc etc.

I'm new to this site but this is one truly fantastic idea and i'm definately in!!!
My vote goes for :
repro/straight legged (but not too high a rise). Not seen the Dior 21's but IRO the '47's (preferably slightly looser) would be just dandy.
Full selvage with green stitch
Crotch rivit
slanted rear belt loop
Hidden rear rivets
14-15oz blue/black gentley streaked denim with a greencast (my fave denim colour is the one used in the Red-ear raw jeans a few years back, or the earlier issue LVC 1920's 201's.)
Copper rivits
Leather patch- any image is good for me
Green cloth tab (if allowed?)
Would prefer a 34" max inseam, but will take what i'm given.
yellow stitching
Doughnut buttons
How about a green stitch painted arcuate in a S501 style?

While we're on the subject- is there an easy way to identify fake jackets? Not sure what the model number is but I bought a raw denim, pleated front 2 pocket cinch back (sort of a mix of Levi 506/507 detailing) some time ago and i'm probably safe in assuming as it was so cheap it has to be a fake, however it's actually pretty reasonable quality and nice grained denim etc etc.
Any pointers? i'll try and post up some pics this evening if neccessary
By the way- I'm new here too, but definately intend to stick around. This site is a great find.

No worries. Any specifics shots you're after?

i found this quite a good one. Mainly pictures with a good bit of blurb, but more than enough to get an overview.
There is a very good book I got some years back called 'Cult' but it was deleted some time ago. I'll post up the ISBN number this weekend when I get the chance. May still be available 2nd hand somewhere.
This one's quite interesting too, but perhaps slightly more of a design showcase than a useful tool.
Martin.

Got another pair of 20's 201's somewhere that have had 2 or 3 washes, but not sure where I put 'em.

Hi Everyone, 1st post here so hi.
I'm also a bit of a LVC denim nut but feel the quality of denim used has gone right downhill of late.
Here's some pics of my collection...
From left to right: '37 201's (well worn in), '37 201's early stages, 1901's, '44 S501's, well worn 20's 201's, '33 501's, raw unshrunk '37 501's, raw unshrunk '20's 201's, late 60's model 501 (japanese edition only) Raw unshrunk. (the last pair are currently up on ebay if anyone's interested :http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330126904170&rd=1&rd=1
All stamped 555 apart from the 1901's and the late 60's model
S506 & 507. both stamped 555
Not LVC, but 2 of my fave jackets. Lee 1937 cowboy, and Sugarcane/Wrangler 11MJ
Got stacks more denim dotted around the house. Quite a few pairs of early-mid 60's big E's. Current faves are some Red Ear raw denims.
