  1. what do you think about having a denim collective for the children of sufu. im not sure how it would work but imagine when a jeans no longer fit your child, they get repaired and cleaned up and go onto a smaller one. and your child gets a bigger one from a larger sufu child moving on to a bigger pair herself..this will get everyone through the years of rapid development untill they are old enough to buy their permanant collection in the suppermarket....

it will take an initial investment of only one pair of jeans per child as long as they are all different sizes, and sometimes if there are a lot of the infant sizes, the buy in might be for some jeans for a bigger kid....

i love denim, repair, and children so much that i will repair anychildrens jeans myself if someone if willing to donate them on to a new superfuturian family....

  2. impressive... how do the hold up to wearing? many seams need re stitching?

whats the denim you used for the patches on the front? looks nicely worn

these threads are all heavy weight cotton doubled up and each stitch gos forward two underneath and back one up top...inotherwords these stiches are not easily taken out...i have found that they are a little looser in the seams if you try and take it apart machine lock stich comes out much easier. both the denims are cone mills selvage. it has a thick weft and a lot of white shows through, there is also a very streaky quality to to the irregularities in the warp.

  3. my friend made me these boots and there was a flap that buckled over to close them but i replaced that with a tounge and laces

you can see here where the flap was stiched on

and this i where the buckle was, unfortunately the liner covers the other side of the rivet so i cannot cut it out.

  4. i know this is the leepro thread but im sure this is the best audience for my inquiry...i found some old lees at the thrift shop with the half lined pockets, copper riviets with capital letters, union made, left hand twill, with the m.r. next to the r on the tag.and a double selvage, not the usual half selvage. i have not heard of anything like this. does anyone know anything about these jeans
