I won't jump to any conclusions until these are released in Japan. There is a disparity between the retail price SC charges at home and overseas. (there's a disparity for the Jomons as well, if I've heard correctly from 45rpm owners). And that disparity increases with the price of the jean.

Lets see. It's all hand-made, but the dyeing looks too uniform for natural (unless they're going with the same dying technique that Sam used for their Ai-N), and the denim looks too smooth to be 50% sugar millet. Don't know about any of the finer details. Does it have pocket lining front and back? If the denim is woven in-house... and SC is definitely eyeing Samurai as their main competition. SC make their 47 for about 14000JPY, Okis for about 17000JPY and natural indigos for about 32000JPY. They would be considering a middle cost jean between the Oki and Natural indigo flagships. I'd say SC would be selling these around 25000JPY, around the same price as a standard Samurai model jean. No guesses on what SC will get their international distributors to charge. From what I've seen of SCs prices on their standard line-up, their next logical step is to have a pair of jeans in the general price vicinity of Samurai, Warehouse, Fullcount etc... which is mid-20,000JPY. It wouldn't make sense for them to release a jean that costs as much as their natural indigo flagships, but it would have to be a lot better than their well-selling Union special to gather interest in paying that much for a pair of SCs since most of their line-up is under 20000JPY (these jeans definitely look a step above their vege dyed oki range).

F**K!!!!! Those jeans look teh sex!!! Everything except those outside front pockets (but I can live with those). Light blue arcuate, and the indigo on the denim looks so dark and rich. Man, when are these coming out!!! I was wondering what SCs new model was going to be after those Union Stars.

I see them ebay more regularly than you would think..
Not in a size 33. I've seen them every now and them pop up. It's always a 29 or 36 or something.

Just awesome, Edmond! Would rep you if I could.

I thought 103 was the slim fit? you mean a skinny cut version?
The inseam is 34in post soak. I'm going to hack off 2 inches in a couple of weeks.

Thighs too thick to even wear the S3000 model!?!?!? Man, these are going to be parachute pants!

LHT purple, RHT Blue. The weft of the LHT is more darker. You can see the different directions the weft is going. The LHT is more greeny blue, that's correct. I'm swapping between the two, atm.

^^ Looks very interesting. I wonder how that tight weave is going to shrink come soaking time?

The 66 cut was the reason I picked up. Even with the price as it was, with the greenback against the AUD when the pre-order was released and then shipping on top, it wasn't more than $20 more than a pair of 1000XX I could have gotten straight from Japan. It certainly wasn't "cheap" for me (or I guess anyone from Aus).

I figured from the price tag that they were the regular 66s. Did you pick them up from Take5 or get them from the Denime store?

You posted up pics of true Religion jeans in a Samurai thread?!?!?!? Blasphemy.

WTF?!?!? Is everyone getting these jeans?
Just kidding. Nice pick-up, arlee. Fit pics, please?

^^Looks like 10lbs of extra weight on it. I'd go nuts if I had to carry that much around.

Where did you pick those up, Edmond? What is it, standard 66? ( I know how much you like the 66 cut).

What's so special about the S0310? 15oz Texas cotton that has been very tightly woven and something about the 6th thread being something something (babel fish - go figure). Looks like this and the re-release of the S510XX 19oz is the last models Samurai are going to make with the arcs and tabs.
the measurements don't really fit the pic. From the measurements they give, the S310 is more thicker in the thigh than the 510?

The thighs for the post wash W33 are smaller than the thighs on my PBJ 007, and they are snug to the point where they are barely tolerable. If I have to wear a belt because of a big waist, it's worth it to size up to a W34. And WH denim shrinks up a lot.

Now I want to see what kind of a stink would happen if Gap started a sticky for their selvage denim. lol.

This thread is hotter than the actual Uniqlo sticky that spawned it. Go the voice of dissention.

Those Ai-N look a LOT darker than those taken under Samurai's studio lights. I keep thinking back to those S5000CX which looked grey under studio lights, only to look green/grey/yellow in normal light. I wonder how they will look post soak, and if the natural indigo will retain their darkness over time (esp. important to me because I like to keep my jeans dark).

They have the force?
I think Toyo owns Buzz Rickson as well, that means that they make all those repro leather jackets.
The question I want to ask is, when is the storm going to hit? What I mean is, Samurai have released a new model jean every two months or so (more recently than earlier this year). It seems to me, they are constantly moving forward. If Toyo is as huge as you say they are, where is their new model range? If this new SC40600 is the direction that SC is going post Levis lawsuit, where is the slew of new models that are going to come out? The last model they released was the Union Special and that was a while ago. I have a feeling it's soon.
