  1. Membership is free, so make sure to tell your friends. Shopping is more fun that way.

i still dont get the point of the exclusive, invite-only store. apparently its "a new kind of retail experience" but i dont really see much benefit to the customer

  2. do any of you guys have experience with web hosting and domains for clients? i'm tryna figure out what would be the best way to go about hosting and charging the few (three at the moment) clients that i have. shared hosting vs reseller hosting? should i have the client buy the hosting/domain or should i do it myself and charge em? i just wanna know what the best/standard practice is, but it seems like everyone does it differently

  4. anyone have recommendations for a portfolio management system (not sure what its called)? i'm currently on cargo collective, but its pretty limited and theres a monthly fee. im probably gonna move my portfolio to tumblr for now so i can at least cancel my cargo account. thoughts on inexhibit?

  5. i think outdoor photos of your printed work is a good idea as long as the setting is/looks relevant to the piece.

i just find any neutral-colored surface that has an interesting and subtle texture. right now im using my dinner table for its grain:

i like the idea of shooting your work on wood or concrete too (not mine):

  6. question for N64 gamers

has anyone tried these third party joysticks? it's a ball-in-socket joystick, as opposed to the original nintendo stick-on-a-hinge joystick. i'm worried that it would be TOO smooth and affect gameplay. not to mention my friends might give me shit for having a "competitive advantage"

  7. Have a friend with a MFLB back in so. cal. and I've really enjoyed using it - actually really enjoy the basic design as well. I wish I could get a piece that was as simple, hate this swirly glass shit. Whoever starts making bongs, etc... that look like they belong next to an Apple laptop on a nicely designed eames coffee table is going to make some money.

theres a bunch of brands who make well designed, function-driven pieces. sheldon black, hi si, and syn glass come to mind. i could definitely see these on an eames table next to those clear jbl creature speakers. the only thing is they dont look as sleek with resin in em

  8. I have to say though that the most important thing I do first is to completely wash my hair under the sink and then completely towel dry it. This makes it really limp and easy to style. If i had it as a dry combover before and then tried to slick it back it'd never work no matter what product I was using.

cosign on this, slight dampness is necessary. my bad hair days are usually a result of letting it dry too long before putting in product.

  9. awesome idea for a game, they just need to make it more precise and challenging. by the end of the game i was expecting to score 100

reminds me of the mario party minigame where you trace the shape and see how precise you can get
