  1. thank you so much guys - i didn't even realise this thread existed till now. awfully sweet. made me laugh. :)

no birthday food porn though - it's been a tough week for me, my grandmother passed on, and we cremated her on the morning of my birthday.

  2. pushkar is a holy city, and as such, everything served is vegetarian. we had cheese, but no eggs. we ate in the hotel nearly every meal because we didn't want to risk a bad tummy before our work was done. thankfully the chef was great.

  4. Dear Soepom 媽媽阿姨,

    我下次來了新加坡以後可不可以用Shou Jie的樹葉盤子?

    謝謝,

    Ted。

let me clarify - it doesn't matter what you eat? so long as you eat out of the same set of plates?

i'm sure something can be arranged, the first step, is getting your ass back here!

Soepom, I spot some dragon fruit. I perhaps the deep purple variety though. Bigs up to your mum's cooking and presentation, is/was she a professional chef?

yep that was dragon fruit indeed, we have both varieties the white flesh and dark purple variety imported here. she's not a professional chef but has competed and won several amateur cooking contests more than a decade ago.

  5. i've not been so good with the actual documenting of meals outside of home either. had a really good dinner of wagyu beef shabu shabu (amongst other things) last night but even i was embarrassed to take my camera out in front of my japanese host.

  6. dear soepom,

remember this helpful saying: one day you grow a mustache to be ironic. the next day you wake up a guy with a mustache.

    dear doctor,

i was already a guy with a mustache before the sex-change trip to bangkok

    back to the "regular" soepom
