I always think big frames, especially track frames look odd. The steepness of the head tube is really apparent when it's that long. Maybe it's just because that's what I have to ride around on anyway.

Finally found it on another board.

Nah it's much cooler if there's no link. The best way to do things is to post pictures with no captions so then people in the know can feel sweet for knowing what the picture is about when most others don't.

I know I'm a scrub...but I'm pretty sure inseam has everything to do with bike size. The lenght of your legs = the distance from the seat to the pedals. AND as you said having nut room means that your inseam is a couple inches longer than the standover height. I've done my research
Inseam is good for determining what bikes are too big for you, that's about it. Once you've got that out of the way, top tube length is generally more important than seat tube length.

I would get The Hour. Toe overlap sucks on the Kilo, especially if you just want to commute on it.
For the record there is no toe overlap on a 60cm Kilo TT. Other sizes may not be so lucky however.

the kilo tt has a better looking fork and no water bottle braze-ons...if those things matter to you
other than that i'm pretty sure they're identical
The Kilo TT has better geometry IMO, tighter clearances.

Am I allowed to hate on him if I ride a $350 bike and most of my clothes are from sales, thrift stores, and a deep employee discount at the store where I work?

NJS rims are tubular. Not so practical for the street.

If you click the link it says "from Bigbooty BARBER SHOP, tokyo"

Apparently it actually says BIGBOOTY. Not that that makes any more sense, mind you.

I was looking at that pic and it got me wondering. Where do the other ends of the sissy bar go? They go bending around the axle and I can't tell where to from there. And also, does it only have one drive wheel? In the second picture on velospace it looks like only the left wheel has any connection to the drivetrain but I can't really tell.

No toe overlap on my track bike.

that video is nice hah
put my old cranks back on, don't want to ruin my track ones in the winter
Suddenly your clearances don't look so freakin' huge, heh.

platforms + fixed gear - brakes = trouble

Call it Statutory Grape.

I've gotten in the habit of rotating my tire every few rides. I'm gonna pick up a 17T cog soon though, I think.

COMPLETE Kilo TT's are overrated. Pedals suck, headset sucks, rear hub sucks (well, wheels do in general), stem sucks, lockring sucks.
I agree that the pedals suck, I immediately replaced them with some ancient MKS road pedals I have lying around, but the rest of the stuff is just fine for most people. I've had no problems from the wheels so far either. Plenty of rough riding and skidding too.

Right now he's a brat, so it's cute, but in 5 years he's just gonna be an asshole and it won't be so cute.

They've had some great ones in black and grey for $14.90 at H&M every so often this season.

In LA it would be a Chevy Tahoe or variant (GMC Yukon, Escalade, etc) with big shiny wheels.

as long as people keep the hacksaws away from their frames, its a matter of a simple twist of a freewheel tool to change a frame back to geared.
also if u want to try out fixed gear, throwing track wheel on a road frame is great. I've rode a few track frames but i'm back on my original road frame with an iro wheelset bc its the most comfortable and i have the most fun riding it and in the end its all about whats' fun.
Yeah, but the dude was talking about just that, as well as stripping and powder coating (also for some reason anodizing, good luck on a steel frame) that frame. I have no issue with people riding conversions. I should say, on an unrelated note, that the amount of money some people sink into heavy ass bike boom bikes can be ridiculous sometimes.

In 10 years people are going to be so pissed at fixed gear riders for ruining so many nice vintage road frames.

Ouch.
Out of curiousity, why is a truck better than a car? Higher door means you don't go over?

I'd second buy a real track bike if you want a fixed gear. The fact that that bar's as bent as it is means the bike's probably been in an accident at some point and the frame might not be straight.
