I shoot with a Canon 5d and (primarily) a 35mm f/1.4L, a Manfrotto tripod and quick release head, Alien Bee strobe and portable battery pack, a transmitter/receiver, and a 5 foot octodome softbox when I'm not lazy.

Fiorentini and Baker Bolans. This is the distressed black leather version (that has some sort of wax coating), but they also make a regular leather pair as well.

is it my monitor or are those really blue looking?

Flat morning light and some contrast balance takes out some of the deeper blacks in the denim -- it will look different at high noon when the sun is more yellow / golden.

we used to do sufu meetups at hill country. they had this system where they put stickers for each thing you ate. we quickly decided to remove the stickers and pay $6 for dinner.

this trick is no longer possible

(they also had free shots at 8&9pm, once me and dark took about 15 each)

This was also the time dark yanked the cowboy hat off of our server — only to discover that it was attached to her face. Needless to say, she was pissed at the abrupt yanking.

A bay bay!

need help from the photography thread. Looking for the name of a photographer who's work I've seen before, didn't write down his name.

He shoots mainly landscape stuff that feature colored smoke bombs. I think this is one of his;

I know its a shot in the dark but really need to find out his name!

I appreciate these more and more. The construction is super solid. The cut allows for biking , skiing and all day purposes, and even after they have stretched about an inch in the waist and around the ass area they don't feel sloppy. Which is a great thing - since it keeps you from having to soak before it's time. The sulfur overdye holds actually pretty well - considering that these have been in the snow / wetness almost every day. It will be a while before these really turn blue.

In other words - utterly happy with this pair.

I believe Sid shares these sentiments, right ?

The black isn't falling out as fast as one would imagine — it's a good thing. The high stress wear is pretty quick to reveal indigo, but the overall deep rich color of the jean remains.

The shape is holding up great!

so later on, will the entire jean be blue?

Probably not until a heavy routine of washes.
