  1. bumping this real quick, gonna swing by outlet mall tomorrow, any places to check besides gap, j crew? maybe banana republic? anything thats slipping my mind? no UO in college town. tried express pants, fit like trashbag

JCrew classic fit sized down is about the best you'll find at the mall. It's really not bad for $65, though. Good luck.

  2. Thanks, repped ya with what little repping power I got.

    Edit:

Should I just tell them to taper the leg opening to 8? Or should I also tell them to slowly taper from the knee down also? It seems baggy from the knee down...

    -Thanks

(let me know if you need me to take fit pics)

Tell them to start from the knee down.. Its a bit hard to start any lower, and your jeans might end up looking like a carrot-- definitely not a good thing.

Also, make sure that you have them tapered from the inseam so that the selvage line doesn't get messed up.

  3. 44s are wider than 47s. They have a boxier top block and straight legs. Personally I would buy true waist on these since they aren't undersized like the '47s are. If you are looking for a baggier fit you could go up two.

  4. To answer your question, Exile, the 292s do have a bleached weft.

definitely on the greyish side of black, but nevertheless black. sulfur treated indigo, as far as i know and smell

I think that you are referring to the warp, the portion of the fabric on the outside part of the jean, which is sulfur-dyed on 292s. The weft is the inside part of the fabric, which should be either white or greyish if it is unbleached.
