  1. This is really interesting how the cultural difference from Japan to America is so wide. I know I feel like a doofus if I'm wearing more than one piece from the same label with visible logos.

  2. I'd never place Supreme on the level with BAPE or Abercrombie. Supreme built up their reputation with years of careful and deliberate decisions, sponsoring sick skaters, and doing top notch artist projects. It's unfortunate that they've become so appealing to hypebeasts, but that's not necessarily their fault. I have a Supreme flannel that's one of the best pieces I own...I just think people look stupid in head to toe anything.

  3. Frankly, in my opinion, a person wearing all Bathing Ape or Supreme or whatever look just as stupid as those kids who like to wear all A&F.

I think it makes them look even more stupid than an Abercrombie or Hollister kid, because the one who shopped at the mall didn't take out a mortgage to look like a fucking retard.

  4. I really am being too anal. I just see all these horror stories about having to resell a pair after they fit weird and don't want to be in that boat. Thanks for your patience sir.

  5. I think its safe to go true to size...you could even size down one if you wanted a really slim fit. I wouldn't size up. Ask Gordon at BiG if in doubt though.

Heh...I called already but they were just opening up and said they'd get back to me. I'm getting impatient though!

  6. hey I'm looking to get some raw denums for my girl but I'm running into problems with sizing. she's got a 28'' waist but 39'' hips so it's tough to find a pair that can accomodate that difference.

any suggestions for overcoming the hip barrier? she figures if she drops like 4'' she'll be in a better position to find nice jeans..

my grifters look awesome on her, though they're too tiny to get past her hips. stacking and honeycombs look so so nice and she's all for it, so any help provided would be doubly appreciated.

Be careful man...that could be a pretty disastrous present if she's not expecting them. Raw denim makes a lot of girls uncomfortable.

  7. Neither of those will have any smooth or "sheen finish", different beasts from the dior denim, especially the pbjs. they slubby and stiff as hell.

onis, need some more slubbiness to your already sweet collection. plus already have 2 sammys...

the sammy 5000's won't be tight at all if you don't downsize.

if you like slubby textured denim, could check out pbj xx-003s or oni blue/red (forgot which 1 were the more relaxed fits)

and since you're pretty tall and like a higher rise...might check out some imperial dukes, true to size or up 1 size for a less slim fit.

Thank you! I've also been eyeing these:

    Anyone owned a pair?

  8. I have promised myself not to buy any more slim denim for a while. That's the first requirement. What's pissing me off is the Sam 710BK's are right around the corner, but again, nothing slim! I want a regular, straight leg comfortable cut that doesn't ride too much in the crotch, mid/high rise. Also, I need a long inseam: I'm 6'7", 165 lbs, around a 32" waist. I've been thinking about the 5000VX but i could use some guidance on whether those are pretty tight. The Dry Bones Guitar Wolf and Samurai American model are also looking good.

    All recommendations welcome!
