  1. Best cumulative show would either be:

    the USAisamonster/Kites/Eloe Omoe/Fat Day/ Life Partners

    Neptune/ Black Dice/ Dev/Null/ Tastic

Single performance would either be Lightning Bolt at Terrastock 6 or Polysics on their "Polysics or Die/ the Time is Now" tour.

  2. Recently I've been listening to the new Terrestrial Tones album, "Dead Drunk," and the new Black Dice 12", "Manoman," both of which are drop-dead stunning. "Manoman" has the greasy, sluggish dance that they've been playing live, and is sadly over in 15 minutes.

    In addition:

the Skaters-"Raising Spheres of Conscious Angel Minds"

    Masada- "Live in Jerusalem"

    Double Leopards- "Urban Concussion"

Leafcutter John- "The Forest and the Sea"

    GH!- "Heavy Elements"

I can't wait to pop in "Altar" and the new Vampire Can't.

  3. I suppose I just view him as a man who makes an incredible amount of music that the majority of people would find unbearable or passably odd (i.e. Tenshi No Gijinka) coupled with a view that this forum doesn't seem like a breeding-ground for fans of experimental music, especially in the noise vein.

  4. it's a 1972 fender rhodes mark I stage model

That is absolutely gorgeous. I'm passively looking for an analog organ, myself, did you find this somewhere other than Craigslist?

An item really worthy of worship.

  5. I wear skinny almost exclusively, I really don't like anything that doesn't fit to my leg. I've got to the point where I really can't stand a standard or a straight cut, and I need that tapered look, especially to keep it slim in the ankles. That being said, I'll wear anything that stays away from baggy every once in a while, though dress pants are the line because they feel a little too loose.

  6. i really should see jack rose sometime.

It's even better than on record, he is the spitting image of his music. When I saw him he was sipping on a mint julep between songs and he was totally dedicated to his instrument and music. To end the set he covered a Fahey blues with another Takoma-esque virtuoso whose name eludes me.

  7. I've never sent them any denim, but there's a tailor who has done a real bang up job on regular pants in the past. She's super careful and has been doing alterations and making clothing for most of her life. I can't give you any specifics but she's located in the first garage level of the Atrium Mall in Chestnut Hill just off of Route 9, if you're located in that area.

  8. Thanks for the help guys, I spent some good time riding a bike and they have worked themselves out perfectly. Now if the waist stretches a bit more I will be a very happy camper, probably one with some nice honeycombs, too. Thanks again.

  9. Minimum wage isn't going to get you appartment in NY, let's put it that way. That said I assume there's got to be affordable housing somewhere in the city for the right socio-economic set, though that's probably concentrated in other burroughs.

  10. Here's a question I didn't see posed: I procured a pair of 27 New Cures yesterday and they are a tight fit, but I expect them to stretch a bit more. I'm worried about the backs of the knees, though, which bunch and tighten when I bend my knees. My question is: is there any way to work on stretching the backs of the knees, or will that come with the general stretching of the denim?
