  1. Get her those new Marc Jacobs aviator sunglasses. My sister is really into Marc and whenever Christmas or her birthday rolls around I hit up something from there. The latest thing she has been eyeing are the sunglasses.

Also, clothing always seems like a lame gift. But any girl (and most men now a days) will tell you that they can never have enough clothing. Besides, there isn't much else out there!

MJ bag would be a dope gift but very very pricey as you stated.

  2. Good stores:

American Rag La Brea- The girl who helped me over by the denim section was very helpful.

UNDFTD- I have been in there a few times in the past 2 weeks and each time got impecable service.

Ron Herman Melrose- Girl working at the denim bar was extremely helpful and was very knowledgeable about thier denim. Also, they didn't have Nudi RRDS in stock, but thier buyer was there and just so happened to have a secret stash with him. :)

    The bad-

Supreme LA- Probably needless to say, but this store knows nothing of customer service. I would say it is kind of nice to walk around in the store and not be bothered, but it also feels like whenever someone walks in, the employees act as though they are a waste of time.

  3. Day Spa is always good.

Or, dependant on where you live, or what you live by. You can take her on a small getaway for the weekend. Doesn't have to be pricey, just has to be spontaneous and romantic.

I remember I did this for a past girlfriend by taking her to SF and taking her shopping at some of her favorite stores. This of course was limited.... :) I aint made of money.

    Gets 'em every time.

P.S. I second the Christmas gift thread...

  4. If you're looking for more of a "laptop" laptop bag, Tumi makes a really nice one in ballistic nylon and leather. It has a ton of pockets and has padding everywhere for the computer. I'm still debating just for the sole fact it provides so much protection and pockets. The only thing is, is I don't find it very stylish.

  5. travisio, I tried on some Julian Red Calis this past weekend and they fit great. Although tight at first, I am sure they will lossen up with some wear. Plus I have heard that Julian Red jeans stretch a good deal anyway. I tried on a 33 btw. For sure going to be one of my next denim purchases.

  6. *EDIT*

    I WAS WRONG, I GOT A 31, NOT A 32.

i got a *edit* 31, which is the same size as my PBJ XX-005s. i soaked these duckdiggers in cold water for several hours today and they shrank like crazy. i could barely put them on. *edit* that's because they are a 31, instead of a 32, like i though.

btw, goldengloves, do you box? where and at what weight class?

I used to, but recently broke my wrist and had surgery so weight training and boxing has been put on hold. Never did it competitvely before though, maybe some day.

I was also named after the boxer Casius Clay (Muhammed Ali). Needless to say my Pops liked boxing......a lot. :)

Thanks for the sizing. They don't look too baggy at all from the pics. Actually give a nice relaxed look. They look better on someone than they do in pictures by themselves.
