Sorry to intrude on your thread, but there is already a thread like this here
Lol, oops. I even searched for favorite denim and didn't see it at first...thanks!

I especially liked this one;
"I was not trying to pretend I am some super-manly blue collar guy. I was simply trying to explain that I am not a metrosexual fashion boy. I am a fairly normal man. I like sports, I like yard work and I drive a truck."
I guess I have to go trade in my Audi because I don't feel like a true Manly man anymore....lol Truck it is! Ford! Diesel. Or wait, maybe a Hemi....yea, that's it!

Okay, so after reading the superdenim forum for a few months I am going to ask the question; What is everyone's favorite denim they own?? List the name, make, model, etc and the reason you like it so much.
My favorite jeans right now are my APC New Standards. I don't think I have owned a pair of jeans that fits this good in quite some time. Everything about them seems really nice to me, plus they have shown some good wear in only the 2 weeks of owning them. I have worn them every day almost all day since buying them and when I went back to the store I bought them from (to buy some 1947 LVCs), the same guy who helped me when I bought the APCs could already tell a difference.
So far my collection is very limited in comparison to others on this board, but I must say, I am hooked!
So what is your favorite?

May be a dumb question, but is "low hip" on the BiG website's measurements the same as thigh?
I would assume "low hip" means the area in which it goes around your butt maybe.. I doubt anything with "hip" in it has to do with the thigh.

i think we all need to realise that people have different tastes when it comes to clothing, and basically everything else as well
theres no right and wrong, its just a matter of perspective
and like i said before, if u can afford them and they look good on u, buy them, if not, spend ur money as where on something that fits u best
and whether the jeans fade better or not, its again up to the individual, how they wear their jeans and how the jeans fit on them
so if possible, can we post some pics of the worn diors here...?
Great post.
What some people perceive as over priced and quality lacking, others may think the exact opposite. I know there are a bunch of people who probably think sites like this are crazy and more than $50 for denim is outrageous. I'd say we're all pretty lucky to even consider a $300 pair of jeans, let alone be able to discuss them as common occurance. I would agree that everyone differs with fashion and that in itself is the greatest part!
I know damn well that without this site I wouldn't know half the stuff I know now about denim than if I had not found this place at all.
Mike, thanks for all the answers bro, it really helps a lot. I know some of them get repetitive especially when comparing one denim to the other, but I guess that's bound to happen on these forums from time to time.
Skinny, average, overweight, whatever...wear what you feel good in and can express yourself in.

Griffin, that Rag & Bone leather bomber is awesome! Where'd you find that? Also, did those come in brown?

To reitterate a question asked above, do these fit more like a New Standard or New Cure? From what I have seen and read I would guess NS just with slightly more taper.

There was a Kenneth Cole peacoat on bluefly.com for only $130 and it looked fantastic!

I think girls also like the added stretch in typical designer jeans so they can get them extremely tight. The fact that tight raw selvedge jeans will stretch I think makes it so women aren't very interested in them. Dependant upon your size you may be able to get a really small size in mens selvedge denim.

i'd say it's slightly expensive in japan. very expensive in the US.
I was worried you were going to say that, lol.

Interesting that you barely used the wifi, that makes me feel a little better.
So are you just taking your sim card and putting it into this phone? I am just wondering how easy it is to transfer information from one phone to the next.

Did they get any 26s in the first place?
No. From the knowledge of the people I talked to (one guy from LA and another from NY Dior) they said no one in the United States got a size 26. Although they said the demand was there and so they are all ordering 26's for next season.

When you were there, was 27 the smallest they had (did they have any 26s)?
Not to hijack, but I just got done calling all the Dior stores for another member of this forum and 27 is the smallest all of them have. They all said size 26 is going to be coming in for next season.

Tisswat, what service you going to use with it? I am contemplating ordering one online...Oh, also, how much if you don't mind me asking?
I just wish it came with a WiFi card. Ah well...

yea I think so, I might remember wrong but I think that eluxury had both at some point and the others were a bit more expensive.
Yea, Browns has both right now and the regular 21/19cm raw is 125L and the Japanese is 155L. Which seems right on par with what ayn paid. (in U.S. dollars that is)

Because it seems as though a lot of websites are selling the Italian made 19cm or 21cm for around $235. So maybe the Japanese denim is more, which would make sense...
Hey, atleast you got what you want. All this talk is making me want to go out and get some right now..

Very nice, thanks man. So does this mean the Japanese Raw 19cm are more expensive than the Italian made raws?

ayn, just curious, but how much did they run you from the DH store? With CA tax and everything?

what are some good sites offering phones we don't have stateside? (usa)
Those are just a few. Sometimes you can find some unlocked phones on Ebay for good pricing as well.
0 -
you pretty much need to get an unlock progy for the phones. the thing about dynamism is the price. they'll roll you for about a 20% mark up for their asia or europe only gear. also, make sure they have an english OS...unless you know japanese, that is.
Yea there are much better sites offering unlocked phones for cheaper prices.
