  1. I really wanted those suminandos a couple of weeks ago to get a black blue fade. BUt i don't think it's going to happen. Finally posted my sorahikos in the evo thread.

for those that wanted to see them waaay back.

I have some macro shots i took of the denim, but i didn't want to overwhelm the board with pictures.

  2. My 45 rpm Sorahikos. Bought em almost exactly a year ago, but had em in rotation barely getting any attention until a june, But that's unneeded information. A couple of soaks but apparently 45 rpm washes them when you repair them so the count gets a little complicated, since they have been repaired by 45 a LOT.

This is the closest representation of the color. You could see how light it is compare to the raw-ish sugarcane denim jacket.

I'll NEG rep you back as soon as i can hoe

  4. I think that's more what Samurai is all about. Repro style cuts, but heavier than vintage denim, stronger construction, etc. It's like repro +

Samurai flirts with next level-ism with their denim and cuts but when it comes to construction they remain at previous level, look at the traditional cotton threads for example.

Flat head also flirts with next level-ism with the poly-cotton threads, but everything else remains the same.

If others feel the same way as me, then we could go to the english forum were the samurai guy post at, and try to convince them to take on certain changes, at least in some models. This is how SuFu got certain brands to make longer inseems, right?

If enough of us get together, we'll make it happen.

  5. this would be a good defense for toys made in china

"they are painted with lead because we want to reproduce the feel of old school toys as closely as possible"

    Exactly, i don't buy it.

If you remove all the euphomism, what he is saying is that vintage jeans are flawed and had poor construction and warehouse takes the reproduction of jeans so serious that they not only copied the virtues of the jeans, but they also copied the flaws of the jeans.

I don't consider this a good thing. When will a company arrive that will actually improve on vintage denim and take it to another level?

Japanese repro's are now officially previous next level. I'm now going to look for next level denim that improves on vintage denim instead copying flaws.

Just my humble opinion, based on common sense.

  6. first of all...

Those RB are your size. Judging from your thighs, sizing down would have been a tragedy, they look good as they are. They are not tight jeans, just a regular cut.

The skulls look exactly how they are suppose to be worn, tight and long. The extra lengh is part of the effect (stacking).

The imperials look great. Again, sizing down would f everything up. Keep em as is.

  7. I'll tell you right now, $60 is 2 much for thai fakes. Also, people here already have good raw denim, the interest that people might have is in the already faded thai fakes that look crazy. Get some of those and lower the prize to what they actually should cost and you will have some customers, especially if you go to the thai fake thread and say you are selling.

  8. THose are kinda ugly, but I'm sure the leather would make the pants more durable.

    ANyways,

I kopped the 1920's not that long ago and started wearing them on the 26th.

They are already faded in the crotch. FASTEST FADING JEANS EVER.

    anyways, I like em.

  9. It's called Superjail, but it's not gonna air. I think watchers got to vote between that and another show and they picked the other, but I'm not positive. I hope they put more online.
thats like the best show ive seen in a while hope they make more
It's from the creators of Wondershowzen, Augenblick Studios. This stuff is genius.

    That shit was horrible...

  10. I think this discussion is getting a bit silly, but I think it'd be sillier to say that no one has a right to complain or that we're seeing these problems because these jeans were "only" $145. Most people would still consider $145 a lot to spend on jeans, and most people would be bothered if the stitching along the inseam of their jeans came un-done even if the jeans were $40 or $50.

    Quoted for truth.

  11. Actually, the regular price is more like $120 when the contest started, but since the dollar is weak it is now closer to $145. you guys got japan retail, the jeans are not even close to $220. That's just BIG's price, and even with a proxy the price just wouldn't come out to $220, it would be more like $160-180 or something.

It has nothing to do with "sizing down" and more to do with fit and tightness.

So how do you adquire this "fit and tightness" you speak off?

  12. looks lame to me...New arcuates suck, they might grow on me, but i doubt it. Of course people will like it cause it's samurai. The slim black jeans are gonna get a lot of hype, but nothing else looks buyable to me. Please samurai, make 5000BK with poly cotton. I will robocop, kindergarden cop, police them shits faster than the contest jeans can blow out.

  13. Damn... that bullet ball is some crazy shit...

Eric glennie might be delusional, but the man is going hardddddddd !!

Even though he takes it to the extreme, we could all learn something from this man.

Everything that you do must be done with conviction. Imagine if we all went as hard as eric glennie trying to do something that WASEN'T retarded?

If we didn't give a fuck what people though?

If we were 200% confident in our sucess?

If we had the single minded ambition and drive?

    Holy shit.
