  1. BrokenGlass, I may have messaged you already, but I delete shit right after I read it - are those Thin Finns or are you wearing Julian Reds?

I don't think I got the message, they're actually naked and famous, fit is called skinny guy.

i don't think it's that great. you are saying that cause it's undercover

brokenglass: did you even consider belstaff? if i were to buy a motorcycle jacket like the one you bought, i would have def. picked up a trial master by belstaff...

I did consider a belstaff but really wanted to try one on, found a barbour dealer 3 blocks from work and they had my size. it's also considerably cheaper and I think it's as cool. I prefer the angled pocket and brass hardware. I ended up being a 34 in the international, I'm a 36 / 46 always, so they run big. Mcqueen wore an international, not a trialmaster.

    truth here

i read somewhere that they have discontinued the trialmaster, can someone confirm?

I read that as well, however, I think they're making something almost the same with a different name.

I also found this jacket I reaaally like but they don't make a 36, and I don't have a Triumph

  2. Jcrew.com has a pretty sick bedale (barbour colab) right now, almost went that direction myself. Decided the international was classic and had more character.

    Lets see the bomber....

I'm also thinking about one of these 2

    BMG Montana

    Picture1-5.png

    and Schott Cafe Racer

    ACF653.jpg

The montana has armor and brass hardware which I prefer, but I'm sure the leather and quality on the schott is tops. Wish I could try them both on to see how they feel though

  3. hm, which tank? The one I have already then paint black or the tank with the chrome side covers?

What kind of fenders are you suggesting? I was think of chopping the current one's shorter and maybe painting them black.

That's not me on the bike, I'm 5'7", the clip-on's without running rear-sets I think would be comfortable enough, especially after I chop a couple of inches of foam out of the seat.

The sr400 is a rad bike, but I really like the way the kawa w400/650 engine looks... handsome motor.

  4. still on the fence on what to do with this thing

    a. restore it as is

    b. cafe it

    c. restore it to the CL it was with a k1 tank and scrambler pipes

It's a 69 CL450 according to the vins but someone has since put black bomber pipes and later (73?) CB tank and covers

So I decided I would at least go back to the tank it's supposed to have: (not my bike)

    CB450K1.jpg

So I got an incomplete tank from ebay for $100. I found a source for the chrome tank covers($55/each side) and knee grips($11/each side) from hondapeninsula.com It turn out they don't actually have the parts, they just let you order them and email to say they don't have them, but we can send you the bolts you ordered to attach the things we don't have...anyway, found another source the chrome/grips, however, $100 each chrome and $75 for each knee grip!

    That would be

    $100 Tank

    $30 Emblems

    $200 Chrome

    $150 knee grips

$20 or so for hardware and moutning rubber

    ? Paint

$500 before paint... half what I paid for the bike, beginning to think I should sell the ebay tank and work with what I've got.

    Did a moc up

Paint the tank black, gold/brass trim. paint shock housing black. Took off the turn signals and put clip-on's on it...

    CB450mocup.jpg

Any thoughts? Fork out the dough for the sweet tank it's supposed to have with chrome and knee grips or keep the tank I've got, paint it ?

Also, what do you think about the clip-ons (handle bars) ?

    Other mods I'm considering:

chopping the fenders, doing a more brat style seat (low, flat). I want the gauges to sit lower. Haven't figured out the tail light, but the stock one in the pic I quoted is tall and ugly.

    What do you guys think?

Beauty & Youth x Schott Leather Jacket

by Eugene Kan, August 20, 2009

While leather jacket maker Schott was arguably the pinnacle of motorcycle protection wear in the past, the development of new technologies has made the vintage crop of jacket styles a bit obsolete relative to their new-age styles. Nevertheless, the styles offered by Schott are unsurpassed in aesthetic as its classic and timeless styles have made their way into popular culture in more ways than one. Recognizing the quality and importance of Schott, Beauty & Youth create their very own version with the traditional black leather body and contrasting hardware.

Fuck that's what I want, a schott with brass hardware, I don't like the super shiny silver hardware.

Also, check this vintage Buco. My favorite, love the "D" Pocket.

They go for over $1,000 though

  6. Very refreshing colors, really dig it.

Certainly feels Geller, though I too thought Lanvin right away, then AnnD, then, not even sure why, Branquinho,.

It's interesting to look a these and then go back and look at old Cloak shows, you can tell Geller's influence vs Plokhov's.

Cloak vs Geller vs the past couple of season of Versace is all interesting to see.

I remember when I read 1 half of cloak was leaving to form his own line and then looking it up and only being a woman's line and being disappointed, I think it only lasted a season or 2, it was pretty hot though. Wish I could buy that shit still for my girlfriend.
