  1. as said above, arcteryx use a system where the price charged for the country you are ordering to represents the 'landed' price ie you will not be charged additionally for customs/duty etc as that is already covered, its a good system.

re if I prefer nomad to composite, personally I prefer the composite fit is better as is function, and I prefer the materials used,I agree with switch in terms of sizing I would normally be a medium in eu brands or a large japan and in the composite/align I wear a small

  6. should have brought the insulated field?

in regards to warmth, this is how I understand it performance wise, for total heat, down is still number 1,but what core loft is good for and one of the main reasons it is used is it work well in movement,ie it heats up with you, if you want a jacket to stand still in for hours in the cold get down, if you want a jacket to move around a freezing city core loft is really good for this, the other obvious pro's are the weight diff, the fact it doesn't take on odour and of course the big one it will not take on water,

being bonded also keeps the fill in place and also interestingly on the Veilance pieces the fill is distributed, so in places where you do not need it, like under your arms it is not there or is a lighter fill, this also improves fit.(note Im not sure how unique this is Im sure its from outdoor)

for travel and day to day city I think core/prima come out on top, just for the ease of use

  7. ,I personally can wear the same size in both, which my preference is size small for a slim fit,I find a small in the field is pretty much perfect,to be worn with the insulator of a sweater, the insulated shell is fine for me in small if to be worn with light layers ie a shirt/tee which in honesty is all you really need under it,in general the insulated pieces will always run a shade trimmer than the shells,as they are insulated so basically have another layer in them.

  8. I think its about time to have a dedicated thread for the Arcteryx Veilance line, theres a lot of cross over chatter with other brands in the category so be great to have a place of its own for all things Veilance related.

  9. I think if you are looking at performance the Veilance is above and beyond the epic cotton, in weight and weather resistance the mix between mechanical stretch woven and windstop is really good for spring/summer.

I dont think as said above you can compare the 2 pieces though bar them both being black jackets with hoods, they really deliver different things and approach different problems to solve, I own both just for the record. you wont be disappointed with either but I think what you stated as your needs the composite is right for you.

  10. FIL usually dont keep any stocks of previous seasons

this is based on what?as in my experience all be it a few seasons ago they had several things I asked for out the back that were from several seasons before, obviously its is only unsold stock so its patchy, but its worth enquiring through the stores

  11. keep it out the back, normally if you go to FiL and ask they may just not have it on display, its worth asking, get stylistics on it,he will at least be able to find out. you might find a deal on yahoo ie under retail but its a waiting game right

  12. items include shipping in uk,international is to be agreed depending on location.payment via paypal gift or buyer add 4% fees.

label under construction very dark navy herringbone pants, soft cotton, size 48 in good condition a early label under construction piece no back pockets £100

  13. it would be elk, they always used elk on the bases, my original codura from I think maybe second or third season of them doing back packs still looks good for it, the early ones were built for heavy use and held up well,

  14. agree here, no way I would buy this without seeing the whole thing inc dvd content before,as its likely to be style over substance, the last dvd was really quite disappointing from a content perspective,as an object this has the potential to be fantastic but the content needs to be out of this world for the price

  15. I would say it is pretty similar in terms of chest size as its roughly on the same block, the only veilance style I have noticed to come up slightly smaller is the insulator, but thats simply because its a mid layer rather than an outer so its just trimmer all round to work with the shells,
