Got charged GBP 55 (plus shipping to Switzerland) to fix two small rips on my Mionn IS Blazer...
Nevertheless, thinking about copping some of the Voronoi pants - will need to get them hemmed however, is the material amenable to hemming by a conventional tailor?
they have a regular stitched hem,so any compotent tailor can alter them,no different than altering a regular pair of pants

I think this is just an over riding misconception for most people (outside of the outdoor industry) that these garments and their material are fragile or require very special attention when cleaning, when the truth is that they are actually very robust and have very simple requirements for washing that actually help pro long the life and performance of the jacket.
this section on the veilance website is a bit hidden but gives a good overview of what to do, and I think most of these topics with a quick google or look on the main brand site would locate a tutorial.

I think the other misconception I read over and over is that the DWR treatment (that makes the water bead) has any bearing on a goretex garment being waterproof. this treatment is in fact removed from the garments before it is tested for being waterproof to pass gore's regulations. its only function is to reduce the amount of water sitting on or absorbing in to the face fabric on the garment in pro longed rain, even if the face fabric takes on water the gore membrane stops the water passing through to the inner.

whats the sizing like on this seasons ducks?

the backpack is only in black as is the tote,I'm not sure on the volume, its not on the bags spec, its not a big bag, the first backpack is designed as a day pack so its very stripped down

the tote is revised for S14 onwards to a more robust fabric (AC2) in details its very similar to the F13 but the material changes its purpose and brings it inline with the bag as a more true Veilance product.

hopefully they will do black ones this time, still fiend after the black suede ones from 2 winters back

sorry to muddy the waters but most bods on here who've got kerchief have all sized up i believe ?
i did with my kofu insulator and was def the right move
saying that, it seems to me that if you never intend to button it up you may get away with reg size
thanks mate, I'm gonna try the wool check version on monday in a 4 and see what I think, its the ict bandanna one I want to get but will have to assume the basic fit will be similar as closest option. just got the valdez in which in my opinion is one of best jackets visvim has ever made

thanks thats helpful, I'm a 3 in all my outwear and that was what I was looking at

how do the kerchief down jackets fit?regular ie same size as outwear or snugger?

I think its pretty good,I will go in for quite a bit, I think the collections feel like they are getting a bit smaller than the first few, I still rate S12 as a real high point, but theres some greta stuff in S14, will go for the suede shirt and leather pants for sure

to much risk on sizing, I love them but no way of telling if a us11 (largest they produce) will fit or not and only way to get would be to pre order.. wish I had got these soon as I saw them but I waited to try and try on to be sure they fit right. and now the 45 went... hopefully they will do something similar in S14, suprised only 1 place picked these up over the heeled version

anyone seen these boots carried anywhere else need a 45 and it sold out on luisaviaroma, its not part of the saint laurent store buy and I dont really like the pointer heeled version.

the pants are all cut long so they can be tailored to your length, this has always been the case with veilance pants as the collection is not big enough to be able to offer multiple leg lengths in the pant styles and its far better to be long and to tailor than to be to short and useless.

its not that colour in real life, its a blue grey as lars says, for sure has blue tones in the grey but not to that extent, its an interesting style.best items this season are the Patrol , the improvements in Pro shell you can really feel, from wearing the previous pro shell for many seasons I can say that I noticed the increased breathability of the new membrane. the Mionn blazer is also great for me along with its summer counterpart (windshell balzer) its a true example of what veilance is about.

No down in Veilance for F13

really it depends how you want to look and what weather you are expecting to need protection from, both are water proof, the partition being gore tex active shell and the Monitor being Pro Shell, from a spec perspective the Monitor is the front runner, and in more extreme weather and in to fall with the right layering it is a fully transitional style and designed as such, the full hood if you are expecting to be out for long periods in rain is again a benefit as it is just easier than the stow hood on the partition which is fine for when you need it, but its as constructed as the monitor hood.
The real pro of the partition is style, if you need to or want to look smart in the situation you are expecting to wear the jacket most then the partition has that classic styling along with the benefits of being waterproof and breathable.

nothing has yet been released from Aitors first full collection, the jacket pictured above along with a t-shirt and pants + backpack was a capsule preview for DSM as part of their Frieze art fair presentations, the first deliveries of the collection Aitor showed in London/paris in Jan will release with retailers during the F13 season so likely around sept/october I imagine.

gore tex active shell I think would likely be best to run in, but like others have said there is no real benefit to running in waterproof, you will get soaked in side in sweat so you still not staying dry,and it will help less with body temp, a windshell fabric is much better something that offers some basic weather resistance but the most important quality is to dry fast.
