  1. if i was to go down 1 or 2 sizes for the okinawa and hawaiian, will it have a more fitted fit? just wondering.

I think the okinawas are designed to be a baggy fit. Sizing down would help but will still give you the baggy look i think. Ive only worn the 47s, but sizing down 2 sizes is a bit too much imo. You wont be able to button them up :P. Ive had my 47s for a couple of weeks now and worn them pretty much everyday and the waist has only stretched a max of 1/2 inch.

  2. Hi,

My first post, just purchased some one-wash 47's. They are baggier than I thought they would be. I wear a suit to work every day so I don't spend a ton of time in my jeans. I'm 32 years old and sometimes think that maybe I'm getting a little too old for this kind of thing, but what the hell.

When i first wore the 47s i thought they were really baggy too. Give it some time and let the jeans take its shape to your legs. You will find that they get a bit slimmer and give you a really nice fit. A REALLY nice fit i may add :)

  3. Judging by the pics, they all look like standard fit (not baggy, and not slim). I think the slimmest sugarcanes are probably the 45s (lee 101z repros) which imo is not too slim also. Comparing to the 47s they are 1cm slimmer i think which isn't a whole lot.

  4. Hey guys im looking for a pair of these jeans and was wondering if anyone can help a brother out. Im in Australia so you will have to ship it internationally. Im willing to pay extra for your efforts (hopefully not too much) and would prefer someone who knows a bit about Lee jeans as im not sure what size to get yet (most likely 30).

For reference here are some pics of the jeans,

    Thanks

  5. im just wondering for those that buy sugarcanes. if you wore a nudie diesel or whatever in size 30 do you typically go the same size? i read ring ring recommended that. a few others also said to get a bigger size. ah the dilema!

I wear size 31 for RRDS (Would easily fit into a 30 also) and 32 for the sugarcanes 47. The sugarcanes waist is perfect for me.

  6. Anyone here have the Fleece Pull-Over Hoody?

I just measured my chest and it was 35" which according to the sizing charts is a small.

I also measured the chest width of a hoodie that has a good fit on me and that came out to be 20" which according to the garment specifications is a size medium.

Im not sure whether to get a small or a medium? Anyone want to give some thoughts?

At the moment im leaning more towards the medium.

  7. In my opinion, the New Standards should be rocked by guys that look like this:

There should always be some slack between the jeans and the legs. Guys that are a bit meatier would be better suited in buying a pair of the APC Rescues rather then the Unisex New Standards.

I like the way the NS fit on Geowu better compared to those pics. I like the look where its almost skin tight on the thighs.

  8. The jeans flare out at the hips. Will that go away with time? Please so it's so.

My 47s flare out at the hips like that too. I noticed they flared out after continous leg spreads to get some nice creases going lol. I hope they flatten out later with more wear.

  9. ive read through this thread a few times and ended up picking up a pair of the one wash 45s. right when i got them they were very snug (i ordered my regular size but felt like a size smaller) and were really baggy. i ended up throwing them in the wash and they fit better but not as slim as i hoped. now i am curious on how the cut of the 45 is compared to the 47? can anyone shed some light?

Hey renski can you post some pics of you wearing them? Im interested in how these look when worn.

  10. spray some water on the backs of the knees and the lap and sit down for a while... there's still a little bit of starch left so the creases actually stay for longer than you'd think (starch is fine too, if you want that ultra creased look)

ill try the water first...but ill probably end up with starch cause i do prefer the ultra crease look :).

  11. Need some of your superopinions...SHOULD I GET THESE HEMMED? I'm 5'8" and these have a 34" inseam so there's quite a bit of bunching, which sometimes I think looks alright and sometimes I think looks real sloppy since the jeans aren't that slim.

They look perfect imo and should not be hemmed :). But i guess it really comes down to what you feel is right.

  12. I just recieved my pair of 47A (the one wash model) and the waist fits me perfect. Im a w32 and i got a w32. They are baggier than i thought they would be, probably due to my skinny thighs :P.

Anyone here who has a pair of the one wash model use starch for the honeycombs? The denim is actually quite soft and i cant see how any honeycombs would develop and stay.

swooc, I got my 47As (one wash, not raw) in the same size I'd wear regular 'contemporary' off the shelf 501s. If I did it again, I'd size down to a 33inch. MAYBE even a 32 as they stretch and bag out a bit.

thanks for the headsup punyfig, yeah im quite torned in deciding whether i should get a 31 or 32. A levis 32 fits me just right and 31 would be really tite. But if a 31 will streched to a 32 im happy.

    Damn deciding is hard :P.
