  1. bought the oversized for my sister in january. i would say the small is like a 50 cent piece and the oversized is like a sand dollar, like 3 -4 inches wide. She wears hers on the chain it came from and it hangs pretty low. Looks sick too.

Umm, I'm in Australia so I can't quite relate to the 50c peice or sand dollar, but if your 50c piece is anything like it is here in Aust., that sounds like a nice size..

Is the oversize really 4 inches wide? That's HUGE!

  2. Since my emails arent getting replied to from alex&chloe i thought i'd try my luck here.

i'm wanting to buy their 'coco is dead' pendant, but i can't decide on whether to get the regular size of the oversized version. there is no real information on their dimensions on the site.

i'm a guy, and will wear it on a chain about 28" long. don't particularly want an 'oversized' pendant as such, but ive got a feeling that the regular size is quite small and perhaps marketed more towards ladies, whilst the oversize is more for guys?

please correct me if im wrong.

and if any of you own one or the other (or both!), rough dimensions would be greatly appreciated!

  3. there are wayfarers I and II.

I am beginning to think its a little more complicated than this..

Different styles, periods of production and sizes are confusing the hell outta me..

anyone care to share a brief chronology?

  4. there are wayfarers I and II.

at the mall they sell the first ones i think so that would be the original.

your dad might have the otherones which are a little wider.

and wtf is this "slant" your talking about?

    are you wtf kidding me?

the original wayfarers are renowned for the angle/slant/slope for which they sit out from the face. Some say this makes them a little uncomfortable, and is detrimental in its sun-blocking qualities...

  5. the 1st question doesn't make any sense. are you asking if marc jacobs vans are available at retail stores?

MJ vans don't come in half sizes.

makes perfect sense from where i'm sitting..

i'll elaborate. i'm asking if you can purchase (preferably online) vans prison issues in HIGH tops still, or maybe even an MJ version, still in a high top..

    kthnx

  6. The new nudie fits:

High Kai: (High Rise, tight, tapered leg)

Grim Tim: (Top of Jim, Bottom of Finn..button fly)

Average Joe: (Top of Ralf, bottom of Jim)

Grim Tim sounds like a good fit - I've always loved the fit of the thinn finn down my leg but havent really liked the overly-big rear pockets

anyone seen them in the flesh / tried them on? i've only got pics..

  7. ive seen a couple of supreme caps that im quite interested in, but i'm in australia and supreme isnt distributed here, and i assume ebay will be unreliable with fakes

any online stores selling supreme going around?

    cheers

  8. seems to be about a trillion of 'em for sale on the bay, seeing as though ive only been around for so long, i'm gonna need some help finding the right model..

i'm interested in original/vintage, big-ass framed ones with the uncomfortably fashionable slant and in turtle shell

any reliable sellers going around not selling shitty fakes?

also, heard ray ban might be re-releasing the original shapes soon? i tried a pair of new ones on in sunglasses hut a few days ago, but they didn't really have that extravagent shape my dad's old pair seem to..or am i just imagining the diff shape?

    help us out

    thanks!

  9. Yeah, I know, I'm almost a decade late, but I figure I've got a bit of a niche market that might just work.

I'm young, 19, and want to get an online store up-and-running, selling particular products.

I have a decent amount (well, i think it is) of capital saved that I'm willing to outlay on this project.

Essentially I will be looking to research, study the market and look into distributers over the next year, and maybe try and launch something early next year.

My question is, whilst I am very computer-literate (grew up with computer from age 9), I have little to no experience in creating/managing a website, let alone one that sells products. I think I woud like to design/maintan the website myself, as I have a little bit of a graphic design/computer-aided-design background. How hard is it going to be?

Essentially I'm looking for some sort of direction in terms of where I start this thing. The obvious choice would be to read books, but I always get the feeling that the moment I pick up a text regarding anything internet related, it is already well and truly obsolete.

However, I have popped onto amazon and spotted a few books, namely 'Starting an Online Business For Dummies' (ahah, i know, typical).

If anyone can put their two cents in, or give me some direction or advice on how to approach this venture, or any texts or outlets that may assist in my development, I would be very much appreciative.

    Thanks again!

  10. The Dry Comfort comes with tone in tone backpocket stitching so I think the ones pictured are the ordinary dry...

thats what i thought too, but i wasn't sure if that was the case 100%. Can anyone confirm or bust?

but if the tag says Dry Stretch its the same as Dry Comfort... color differs between Dry and Dry Comfort too.

    thanks for your help mate.

  11. first of all, is there a big difference between the 'dry comfort' and 'dry' versions on the SSK? i'm guessing the 'dry comfort' has a little more stretch for it, but for the sake of raw denim, 'dry' is the better choice? Please correct me if my assumption is wrong..

secondly, if a pair of SSK is listed on a certain auction site as 'Dry Stretch Indigo SSK', would it be say to assume they are talking about the 'dry comfort' version....or is does the normal 'dry' version have a stretch to it as well? (I've tried contacting the seller to no avail..)

Picture is crappy, but can you guys help me decipher which wash the seller is selling?

    cheers guys.
