obviously will talk to my doctor about this first thing monday morning, but whats the deal with alcohol in the days preceding surgery.

without much thought i got pretty boozed last nite at a mates 21st (over 12 cans - yeah i know, big man) and a couple of cigarettes. i have surgery scheduled for monday afternoon, do i have anything to be worried about in regards to having been drunk 30 odd hours prior to going under the knife?

have seen figures on the net saying one should not drink / smoke for as long as 2 weeks prior to surgery. if my doc says it should be okay regardless, am i out of line for wanting to postpone the surgery anyway for the sake of something going wrong. would prefer to be on the safe side after all..

Got offered very cheap accommodation and flights to Singapore by work so took them up on the spot without actually knowing too much about the place.

I will only be there for 4 or 5 days (in two weeks time), but thought it may be a good opportunity to do some shopping around the island - perhaps pick up some pieces from Japanese/Asian labels that aren't so readily available in my country (Australia). I will be staying at the Swissotel The Stamford.

The sort of 'style' I dig is basically the typical 'sufu' look - I enjoy brands such as Dior Homme (probably can't afford this), Lad Musician (nor this?), Comme Des Garcons, APC, Tsubi/Ksubi, April 77, Marc Jacobs, etc.

Even some more basic shops like H&M or Zara that sell relatively trendy gear at nice prices.

If you can point me in the direction of any shops or shopping districts that may be of interest to me, I would be very appreciative (rep!). It would be particularly nice to find pieces that are on sale or are relatively cheap! Are any mid-year sales happening? (I can only hope!)

Alrighty, that's about it I think. Any other information or tips that I may find useful on my trip to Singapore are also welcomed

COS sells great skinny leather belts(width is aprox. 2 cm/0.39 inch), in tan, black, grey-blueish and some other colors. I got one, forgot how much it cost, it was about 40 euro's or something. It's really annoying because they don't show them at the accessories section on the website. You should probably look at the runway show, you can see the belt on the very first male model.

They don't have an online store tho. You might want to ask someone who lives in one of the the locations where their shops are located. If not, you can ask me, but that will probably be more expensive because I don't live nearby the shop in Rotterdam/Holland.
