  1. i've been looking for some for my girlfriend, too.

she wants to try it out, but she wants to lose a little more weight first so i guess she can wear them for a really really long time once she is at her desired weight...

i think i'm going to get her some new cures..

those skull jeans look dope, though.

anyone know anything about how those fit on women?

  2. so can someone tell me what is so unbelievably nice about these hoodies?

they look like regular hoodies but heavier and thicker.

now i've seen regular clothing look amazing when its worn with other things, it can work really well..

what are the w+h hoodies supposed to be worn with that will make them look all that much better?

  3. you fucked up some dope ass boots.. you should have just pulled your jeans over the ankle part of the boots and you would have had the more tradiitional style of wearing skinny jeans with boots.

that being said, although you fucked them up, they look damn good to me. personally, i would wear them and not even care what others think, because if you can rock them and make them work, people are going to look at you and say damn those look different/rare and really cool.

to answer your question, they were some really really nice boots that would have looked great worn a certain way, and you made them into a different style. it looks good still. they don't look ridiculous to me, they look great.

i guess the way i see it is if you took a hard top sports car that was really really nice, and made it a convertible.

yeah, you fucked up a really nice hard top sports car, but you made a bad ass convertible out of it!

  4. i was at american rag in l.a. yesterday and i saw the entire collection.

i saw that hoodie posted above in both black and in a redish/orangish color and they weren't very appealing, especially at that price.

then i saw some other coat type thing with horns as buttons, looked cool when it was folded but i tried it on and it didn't look so good.. it was in the $350 range.

at the time, i didn't know what "W+H" was, i looked at the tag and was confused, but now i know its wings & horns.

so for anyone wanting some, either go to the l.a. store or if you are not in close proximity, i can pick stuff up for you, the entire collection dropped yesterday, the day i was there.

and to clarify whether or not this is a rumor: i was there and am not lying.

  5. i'm going to do it in late november/early december.. i live in l.a. and the pacific coast water isn't nasty!

maybe if you go to huntington or long beach or santa monica its nasty, but manhattan beach, carbon beach and upwards are clean and great..

when i go to the beach i usually go to manhattan, the water there is pretty damn clear.

i'll probably just dive into the ocean with my jeans on (commando of course) and see what happens.

in the 2 months that i've had these APCs i've beat them to death and back.. by late november or early december they should be even better... and that time of the year is for some reason always very hot here in southern california.

i've noticed our cold winter usually doesn't start until late january or early february.

i'll post pictures when i do the ocean diving soak shit..

  6. i was thinking about getting one of these... i supppose the 1.83ghz 13.5 inch macbook..

its $1049 plus free nano at my school..

i have a mac mini 1.42ghz right now and am really happy with it, i just hate that i can't take it to school and browse superfuture and ebay during class (haha)

should i sell my mac mini w/keyboard and mouse and buy the macbook?

is it a lot better? is there anyone here who has used both?

  7. what does supreme do for a week?

well... what i think is.. these guys have a few stores, but aren't a major corporation.. therefore they probably don't have a manufacturing facility.

they probably have a design team, a company that gives them plain tees, and a company that screen prints for them.

so they design their stuff and send the designs to the printing company, along with the tees, they get done and sent back to supreme.

then they get shipped to all their stores.

now since they probably didn't have a manufacturing facility, there is nobody who is tagging all this stuff and pricing it and setting up the software to ring all this stuff up..

they usually hold back their stock each day, i don't know how many they sell each day of the season but lets just say 50?

thats 50 in each color in each size..

thats 4 sizes x lets say 3 colors? thats 12 x 50.. thats 600 tees, then lets say they have 4 different tees? thats 2,400 tees a day.

thatst a shitload of tagging and stickering and processing from shipment.

thats probably what they do all week.

  8. well i'm going to school about 10 minutes away from stussy direct, so i can stop by and pick anything you want up any time you want.

just let me know, i've helped out a few people get some dope stuff at a good price..

if anything needs anyone from stussy direct i am sure i can get it..

hit me up in PM for details and arrangements.

  9. i also have a pair of really rare diesels i used to love, but the waist is too big now, also.

if i have a tailor take them in about an inch and a half or two inches, will the pockets and stuff look really stupid and disproportionate?

i don't want to ruin a great pair of jeans...

  10. yes to echo some of the posters on here, Laemmles is an awesome theater.

like i said, you will probably stay within the West L.A. region between hollywood/santa monica.

the Laemmles on sunset is a great theater to watch awesome indie films, there is also one in pasadena and one in santa monica if you don't have 2 hours to spare while on sunset.

the drive up mulhouland(sp?) and the drive up the 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) to santa cruz are also extremely recommendable, but very very time consuming.

Los Angeles, like i said, is an amazing city to live in, and can be great to visit, also. But its just one of those cities where you would benefit a lot more from living here for 4 to 5 months or so.

as far as modern or avant-guarde architecture when speaking of homes, i may have to say that Los Angeles is the richest city in the world in this field.

You can check out works by world reknowned architects and some of the most famous homes in the world from the 14 homes by Frank Lloyd Wright, to the Chemosphere and Beyer residence by John Lautner.

this is just my area of interest, though. I don't know how much into architecture you are, but i love to drive around southern california visiting architectural marvels.. its amazing. John Lautner is obviously the most influential to me, because he's basically the leader of Los Angeles private residence architecture. He's real fresh, check out some of his stuff:

    Chemosphere (1960)

    chemosphere1.jpg

The client was a young engineer with limited resources and access to a site with a priceless view of the San Fernando Valley, but worthless because of its severe slope. Lautner's radical solution was to propose an octagonal, saucer-shaped structure entirely supported by a central stem five feet in diameter. Working with the client's own participation, and with materials donated from companies eager to be associated with the project, Lautner took an otherwise-unbuildable slope and created a house with incredibly sweeping views.

The man is a genius, IMO.

  11. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has pictures of a New Era cap Supreme released for their summer line this year. I'm looking to get it for a friend of mine. It was either a dark navy or black cap with a white NY lettering on the front. Thanks a lot.

i think i can still get this for you, if you want it.. but it will say LA because the NY ones are sold out
