  1. 1. Have you ever been to Supreme LA? They are notorious for giving their customers terrible service. There have been times when I got some free stickers with my order and then there were times when they would stand there and tell me not touch the folded shirts. From what I understand of retail any lack of attention to a consumer is deemed inapproriate. Maybe I am wrong, but Supreme's attitude hardly seems "attentive"

of course i have been to supreme la, but lets not turn this into a who's done what argument, or an argument at all, for that matter. the service given at supreme is better than any other store i have ever been to. the sad part is that you are used to horrible service, so you don't even understand what supreme is doing. you can't touch the folded shirts because they are for display only. there is only 1 of them in each color. you go and ASK for the color. same with the hats, the jeans, ANYTHING. you are used to having to look through piles of shit to get what you want, but go to stores like fred segal, marc jacobs, etc. they always only have 1 out for display, and you ASK! they always give you free stickers if you ASK. when you walk in, they say whats up, and don't come back to you until you have a question. they give you your space. countless times i've asked for help, they've even suggested their own opinions. if you want "Attentive" customer service, go to the mall. if you want to always be helped by a knowledgable staff that has all the info, tells about release dates, and is fair with EVERY customer, then go to the stores i mentioned.

    2. I have purchased in large quantities there before. Las season I purchased a several of the Kate Moss "kiss" tees and they seemed fine. I have seen some people pick up a load of stuff. Unless you're taking 5 box caps and "every futura shirt you got" then they have been pretty tolerant.

you can purchase in large quantities, but not different sizes. i'm sure you purchased the kate moss "kiss" tee, but you must have gone every single day. because they only let you get 1 size in 1 color per style on release dates. i know because i was there when they got released, as i have been when almost all of their stuff has been released.

    3. I have no idea what the interest is. I honestly didn't think there would be more then 5 people interested in me picking anything up. And I just assumed most wanted one item. But, you raise a good point. If there are is a huge shopping list, then I would certainly decline the request. And if I cannot buy all the different sizes I will make a complete refund (fee included). I never knew this to be their policy.

Like I said if there isn't enough interest I just won't make the trip.

surely you thought the interest was high enough to warrant a thread, instead of simply mentioning it in the supreme f/w 06 thread in supershopper. i've bought random sizes of things at supreme before, i'm cool with the guys that work there. i know who they are and they know who i am. they'd have let me buy the random sizes anyway, but i still let them know that they were gifts and favors for friends. i still let them know out of respect, and the respect is very much so mutual.

i also don't mean to disrespect you in any way, just wanted to give better information in this thread. also, i feel like i should defend the staff at supreme for being so good to their [sometimes] more sensitive customers. as well as the honest, good people at superfuture from getting screwed by anyone (not just you).

  2. supreme won't let you do this man.

1st of all, don't say they have a piss poor attitude because they don't. the guys that work at supreme are some of the nicest and most attentive retail employees i've ever came across.

2nd, you can't buy in large quantities unless it is for you. they will tell you so. especially if you buy assorted sizes.

3rd of all, how could you make your fee non-refundable if they won't let you buy more than about 5 items once they see that none of it is your size or at least the same size. that isn't fair.

  3. i tried these on today.. i'm usually a size 11, i tried them on at the new american rag in fashion island, they were pretty loose on me and i wanted to try a 10 but the shoe guy was being kinda pushy and i didn't feel like asking..

i later find out that they're on commission there.. ???

  4. chris, your information about april 77 thats been given in this thread is ridiculous and has been really helpful.

i'm making a fucking list of things i want from this brand now..

  5. yeah the prices at supreme are usually reasonable.

the phase 2 hoody was 198 in store.. its not a bad price considering the collaboration, the fact that it was made in japan, and the quality of the print on the hoody.

thats not to mention the overhead costs of doing it in black and white and color.

i have not seen the treebark hoodies, but can't imagine them looking nice.

i also can't wait for that damn furr stadium cap.

  6. here in southern california, AA starts you at $9.50

i don't see what the appeal is... maybe because i've worked those jobs.

i'd rather work as stock for a high end boutique..

my friend works at tori burch (old lady expensive clothes) as a stock boy, gets to wear whatever he wants, and makes $13 an hour.

AA and UO are just appearance. those jobs reaally suck and are super boring. you don't learn any skills that will help you get better jobs later on, and you get over the discount real soon when all the stuff they carry becomes lame to you.

  7. i worked at urban outfitters, its 40%

my friend was a manager at AA, he just gave me free shit.

from what i hear from other former coworkers from urban outfitters that now work at AA, they just take shit for free because no AA stores have cameras.

anyway, if you want a "fun" store to work at, don't base that on the stuff that they sell or the atmosphere they attempt to portray. working at all of those kinds of places blows major ass.

your pay is shit, you do the same single task over and over, and work late nights.

from personal experience, working at urban outfitters or AA is no different than working at express or macy's. try to get a retail job where you actually have some responsibility and you're in charge of at least something.

it allows you to be creative, and thats a lot more fun than folding a BDG shirt or hanigng up some AA speedos..

  8. i'm also extremely interested in the costello's now, i've been looking for some skinny trousers for a long time, but not completely too dressy.. something in the middle.

i also am loving the black dischords, but how do they stretch out?

i used to have some skinny cords and they stretched out to the point where they fell off my body when i walked.

corduroy stretches differently than denim, so how do these hold up after a while?

i would love to get both colors in dischords and the costellos.

glamroots, do you still have them in store? if so, i can go on friday to try all this stuff on.

  9. i think the best out of the three, jr, apc, and acne are going to be the apc jeans.

1, they are selvage, 2, they have a really really nice slim fit that goes with any body type, and 3, they are the cheapest of the three.

basically, you are getting the best quality and fit for your money if you pick the apc's..

if you are getting the julian reds, get the hoboken no wash's..

ifi you are getting the acne's, don't get raws.. i wouldn't trust acne raws, i don't know why, but thats just me.

they aren't as well known for their raws as julian red or apc..

and i gotta defend the acne max fit, i think its real dope.

  10. i am also a size 11 and i just bought some sambas on ebay.. they haven't come in yet, but i'll post pics when they do..

also i'd suggest that you get them in black.

white shoes make your feet look even bigger than they are, so i avoid white shoes.

but i wouldn't mind getting some white high top chuck taylor-esque sneakers.

  11. i'd be more than glad to write, if this goes anywhere.

i love writing and can do articles very well... it would be pretty fun.

i would like to see the obvious articles like denim before & after, denim fits, etc.

then your standard how to order and where to find certain brands..

one thing i'd really love to see is a feature product every isue where it would show many different ways that a certain item can be worn, such as how apc new standards c an be worn as skinny jeans and can be worn baggy, and how to complete the look, etc.

that would be cool to me. it could be more creative.
