  1. ok i'm kind of skinny i'm a 27' waist

i've been looking for a nice pair of slim straight all black denim

i found the 1980's on the contextclothing website and i really like them

do you think a size 28 would be to baggy on me?

The 28s will work for you.

    They fit like a 27.5.

I wear 26 NS and the 1980 Blacks fit me perfectly.

We only have a couple pair left, so don't sleep!

  2. thank you, glad I'm not the only one. my friend got the 28, and it can't be bigger than 26. I dont know what context is thinking putting out their whack measuremants with "size down". even the grey say size down 2, but they measure as tagged at best.

    Just wanted to respond-

There indeed was a certain amount of inconsistency with the sizing for that initial run, but we have been reassured that all sizing issues will be resolved going forward.

    Anything to add, ilovespaz?

    A little help?

  4. Ryan,

I wish I had a penny every time someone asked you when you were going to get another shipment of New Cures. Or New Standards.

Are there any photos from the "Death of Fashion" show?

Maybe you posted them, & I just missed it.

Both NS and NC restocked now and moving very quickly.

KMW is no longer producing the 1972.

We never stocked it, so you must be seeing it somewhere else.

The Fulton .50 from Earnest sewn is a rinsed fabric piece and fits slim, so if you fit a 38 in that you may very well fit a 36 in KMW 1950 which would be the cut for you given your description of your legs.

On the other hand, if you fit the Fulton your thighs can't be that big, and you should be able to fit the 1980 in size 36.

Context has been ground zero for Kicking Mule Workshop fans for years. We began with the slim 1980 and classic 1950 and added the tapered Rocker (more coming soon) and relaxed 2010. We brought you their first limited edition store collaboration, the Context KMW 1980 Black, and are currently the only store offering the legendary 1950 AWA limited in production to 50 pairs-- only three pairs remain! We are Kicking Mule Workshop experts. This season KMW presents a Japanese Selvage Chino and Blazer, perfect for the warming weather. In addition we have the 1950 RR Worker Pant. You won't want to miss out on this jean, it is special.

  7. Looks like the same jean- not sure why they wouldn't fit the same; unless you got a different style.

Is the word Rocker embroidered on the inside of the waistband?

The rinse will fade a bit, but not as well as the raw.

We are getting more Rockers with our Spring order that is due to arrive in the next couple weeks- so it won't be long.

  8. I don't know him personally, but Ratatat has had at least one other gap during this experiment when he was out of touch for an extended period of time. Traveling, I believe.

Call me naive, but I'm betting that he'll be back eventually.

Yeah he's had them longer than he was supposed to, but lets not give up yet.

As far as screening goes, I'm all for it. I just think setting the parameters could be tricky without allowing it to turn in to too much of a cliquey kind of thing.

Nom de Guerre's 6th season, "Under the Open Sky" has arrived at Context. The American idea of Manifest Destiny and her bygone Industrial Age inspired the clothes. Rugged jeans mixed with smart cotton shirts in stripes and refined floral prints recall the era. Check out the weather resistant fabrics updated in choice technical polys. Keep your eye on more to come into CONTEXT from this amazing line.

Nom de Guerre is a New York based creative collective founded by Holly Harnsongkram, Wil Whitney, Devon Turnbull, and Isa Saalabi. The concept of the collective is to combine basic and diverse influences from art, fashion, and various New York subcultures to create a composite culture and product.
