  1. There's nothing wrong with giving time instead of money, you can throw money at children with AIDS all day (or any group), but have you really done anything for them spiritually, emotionsally, in the way that matters? Money pays for the necessities, but most of the people in need are in need emotionally and intellectually as well. Me, I'd much rather go down and bust my ass helping out at AIDS serives Dallas, then sit and chat with patients about their lives, and play with children, and be there for them.

AIDS is a particular point for me, because people are afraid for no reason to touch these people, to hug them, to hold their hand, to pat their back when they are crying. It's a shame more people can't put their irrational fears aside and give these people the comfort they need.

The biggest gift you can give anyone is yourself, money falls far behind that.

  2. How much difference in rise is there between the Ebony Johnny and Ebony Ramon?

And is the Ramon by any chance named after Razor Ramon Sumitani? :P

That would be fantastic, I wanna marry Razor Ramon, or at least be his sidekick, Soft Lesbian.

  3. take measurements. lots of measurements. take them of the jeans that you like after you've washed them (that way it will account for the relaxation of the denim). Take the waistband, hip, thigh (2" below crotch is a general place to measure), inseam, outseam, leg opening, knee, front rise, back rise, anything you can think of. Then contact the online store and tell them your predicament, most will help you out with measurements or they have a very liberal return policy. A lot of stores offer free returns/exchanges, or you're just out shipping, so you can buy the 2-3 pairs that you think will fit try them on, see what fits closest to how you're jeans fit after a wash, and then go up one size to allow for shrinkage during a soak. Did I make any sense?

  4. nope i just sell a little stuff and look at completed auctions to see what kind of listing/layout/etc. works best so I can get the most money for what I'm selling.

you have to create a sense of urgency, make your customer feel secure in your practices, make it easy to read quickly, you only have about 10-15 seconds in which they decide if they'll watch it or not, and dupe them into thinking tey aren't spending as much as they are, talk about what they are getting, not only the item, but they're owning a piece of history, beautiful board, yada yada....

  5. put up a new auction, list it open to US buyer, start it at .99p (pop a reserve if you must)and double list in skate boards and whatever the UK equiv of celebrity collectibles is.

Tweak your listing, use centered titles, larger fonts, vary each section with a color. Clearly state shipping and payment policies at the end of the auction. take measurements.

if you do that ish, it should go for a good amount. Lupe Fiasco is pretty big over here, and I know there are people who would bid that up. A BIN is harder to get your money for, when they bid by tiny increments, they feel like they aren't spending as much.

  6. cmf, there is a wonderful way to deal with your problem. Zip up your pants and quit playing with girls until you know what you want. That way no one gets hurt half as bad. the road you're heading on will hurt you and all the girls you get involved with.
