I don't know how relevant being a "salaryman" is.
With my samurai contest jeans, I couldn't wear them to work five days a week. I teach kindergarteners and I got my wear in after hours. Put them on after work and go do stuff.

I have an unaltered size 30 sd-103 with arcs and tabs that are just too darn tight for me. I've been debating selling or trading them and have finally decided to let them go. I don't think I'll ever be able to fit them
I've soaked them and put about a week into them and there are small amounts of wear in the regular places. I haven't taken pics or put them on the supermarket, but if anyone is interested hit me up. I could send pictures if anyone is interested.

I took some more pictures outside today in natural light just for poly.
Is it cool to change some of the pictures out before the 15th?

Japan is the only place that I can think of that currently has any. So a visit to Japan, or proxy involving rakuten stores or some other shop
A 29 with arcs: http://www.rakuten.co.jp/vintage/726391/726428/735585/#786366
Everything but 29 without arcs: http://www.rakuten.co.jp/vintage/726391/726428/744617/#798443
That's like $125 in Japan.
~$20 proxy fee + ~$25 for shipping. Around $170-175 shipped..

I've been messing around with physical lighting without digitally editting the pictures or using a flash. So it's just a lamp shined on the picture area. As requested:
I had a pen explode in my right pocket and I tried to get it out with alcohol, nail polish remover, and getting these pants dry cleaned. Needless to say, I'm living with the stain.
Tons more pictures as well as higher resolutions available at http://www.flickr.com/photos/386/sets/72157602512033580/

I have Sugar Cane SC40285 and they are similar to the sugar canes you linked. I think they (Sugar Cane) try to make the jeans look like the kaki-shibu (persimmon tannin dyed) dyed jeans that usually cost around 50,000 yen if the real tannin dying proccess in used. The fabric looks very similar and they may use real persimmon juice for the color, but I don't think it is dyed in the traditional Japanese kaki-shibu way.
So if you're going for the real thing, it's going to be expensive.
I work at an elementary school and I got them so I could wear jeans that would not look so much like jeans. I wear them three days a week or so to work and my khakis were retired. They are showing signs of wears after many months and I'm excited about how they will fade later on.

I remember reading:
*I_miss_lily gave his pair away because they didn't fit anymore.
*Dick's got tore up.
I think they should still post pics or the last pics they have for completeness and for the competition's sake. Who said a pair of jeans with an entire leg missing couldn't win?

An idea I had included saving the extra inches of denim that is cut off when getting hemmed or using another pair of jeans for material.
Reinforce the crotch region with an extra layer of denim.
Would the holes still develop just as fast as both layers wear at the same pace or would one layer break down first and the second layer actually be able to reinforce the crotch?
I have been reinforcing multiple parts of the crotch area on an "as needed" basis and it seems to stop the holes from growing when a patch is sewed underneath the hole area.

A year is a year. I believe Almond decided to not wear them for that month. He wasn't forced to by any means.

Sling&Stones uses a small golden symbol in the rear right pocket.

I love the different buttons...especially the copper coloured ones
You would like the buttons from their girl jeans.

I can't recollect any times I've seen 811s being sold in raw.

An intense way of working out where you do a lot of excercises and rest for very short periods of time. I was killed.

I think it just depends on the size. My size 28 bk with are the "limited edition" lot 9's have four buttons total.

so i bought a pair of BK's in 29. they barley button up post soak. only buttons up because i ddint soak the waist. got some crap on them threw them in the washer on light spin but forgot about the wasit issue. now top button doesnt button up.
would they stretch enough or do i ned to throw them on the supermarket?
I got my bk's smaller than I have ever gotten dungarees before and they were hard to button up after two soaks. The thigh area is what got me, though. The waist will likely stretch a bit, but how do you feel about the thigh area? Mine didn't stretch too much in the thigh.

Maybe indigo_junkie can give you those two inches and some tailor can frankenstein them on.

That fake tab looks pretty interesting.

Yes .

On the "Texas cotton" Samurai jeans they use 100% cotton even in the thread used for the stitching. On their other jeans, I'd think the arcs would last a while longer than on our contest jeans.
Do they use 100% cotton or some kind of blend with the thread in their other jeans?
