Two things. One... Where can we see the earliest pieces that he made and how to spot them?
Secondly there was a foreigner here that told a story about him getting hired to work in one of his stores by him if I remember correctly. I believe that was like in the 90s or early 00s. How did that come about?
I've been trying to catch Yamane at the ebisu store as it's walking distance but always seem to miss him haha

Yeah. I also have a box fresh pair of lazy s in the UK. I'll dig out when I am back maybe.

I'll check some out but my pure blue are really slim.

Oh yeah so have I. I've had 2 pairs of pure blue Japan for the last 2-3 years I guess. Also did some nice ones from one of the denim shops. Meh ok ok I'll hit up auctions. The issue with Evisu though is no decent slim cut.

You should come. Well worth it. I live in Tokyo now but barely into jeans these days. I should hit up the auctions and get something for old times sake though.

Any pictures?
Living in Tokyo i could probably find new if i felt like it but not that bothered. Plus these two are in ok condition.

So I'm thinking of buying a Evis (/no u!) denim Jacket. What cut do you guys recommend? I'm pretty small so maybe a size 34 would fit my arms best.
I was looking at this:

Not bad for ¥9300...
This would be nice for winter...
http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b176233992Does anyone have one of these lined jackets?
Little bit of evis history...

Yamane just seems to spend all his time travelling up and down the country visiting stores, taking pictures and painting random stuff on jeans. I should really pop in sometime to get some painted by him.

Hi all, I recently bought a pair of 90's selvedge Evis jeans from ebay. The guy I bought then from said they came to him along with some other used designer clothes as his boss didn't wear them any more in the late 90's.
I've spent ages trying to trace the odd back pocket design but i'm having no luck...does anyone have any info on the model?
Any help would be great,
thanks
Dob
upside down and back to fron evis tab
Sorry I'm a little late but they would be these. Though I've normally seen them without the guls.

BUMP Will take £70 for jacket - Moving to tokyo in just over a week needs to go!!!!

Yeah im disappointed by the amount of stretch that my NO1's have. They shrunk but then they stretch way too much.
Wearing sz 34 need to buy sz 32 now. Its a shame as they were hand painted in the osaka store with the special osaka purple colour.

Nah sorry best bet is to go through rakuten or something.

Yeah did along time ago! Might be selling it as i am moving to Japan soon!
You might find some online or otherwise you will need a proxy.

Yeah you can still get them. Specially hand painted in Japan.
I have a hand painted jacket with the daicock. Lovely jacket but i cant bring my self to wear it!

Hello everyone,
Two items that i will likely never wear so im going to let them go. Need cash for new wallet, belt and jeans! Trades welcome if you have something nice.
Skull 5000xx tagged 30, not sure if they shrink much however they already aren't fitting me very comfortably. Looking for £200.
Evis/Evisu lot 1500 jacket tagged 36. Lovely condition i dont think it has really been worn at all. Got it along time ago from someone. Red tab has been cut off so and i think it came from American Classics in Liverpool Street back when they were around. Has the old scovil buttons and rivets, and slightly older style gul where they are more equal in height. Lovely jacket the arms are a bit long for me though.
Looking for £150.
Full rez pictures available here:
Thanks,

Ill have to post up some pictures of my NO1 Specials with the purple guls from the Osaka store in November. CTB hows things? Anything new special?

Hi,
I have some deadstock 5000xx from a few years ago (2008) they are tagged size 30. Should i expect much shrinking and do they stretch back to raw size? They don't fit overly comfortably right now so i will sell if they shrink too much.
Edit: Put them up for sale as I don't think the fit will be great on me.

bears? rude? are you sure??? theyre very nice i usually visit them when i go to tokyo.
anyways try americaya in ueno and hinoya they do repairs too
americaya on the back 2nd floor where they sell their samurai's
Yeah i was really looking forward to seeing the store but when i got there i think i must of interrupted the guy at the store from leaving for his break or something. It was the only time in our 2 weeks in Japan where we felt unwelcome anywhere!

Thanks detonator - any better directions to denim works than shibuya & harajuku? I went to bears on my last trip there and was left unimpressed by the service. They were quiet rude!
Actually looks like they moved from tokyo to hiroshima! (denim works)

Anyone know a good store in Japan for denim repairs? Going next week and would like to get my evisu repaired.

Anyone know of any good stores for vintage Evis in tokyo? all i can find is levis everywhere!

The savile row store is closing THIS WEEK!
Had a feeling this would happen eventually with whats going on with Evisu right now and the location they have. However dint expect them to announce so late. Wonder what will happen with all the stock and memorabilia.

Sorry rubish pictures from my iphone before i run out of the house. As far as i can tell its a brand new lot 1500, has Yamane style craft tags (likely evis red tab but thats been cut off) Looks unworn and likely unwashed. Scovil rivets, and really lightly painted cream guls. Fits me perfectly. Another amazing bargain from ebay. Best £30 ive ever spent!

Can always rely on you to remember the details haha
Yeah I know I know. Basically I moved to Japan and lost all interest in denim but I dip in sometimes. Catch you on IG.
