I'm going to pick up a pair of dubble works 660 because they fit amazingly great. Then I'm out for a year minimum....

That rip isn't that big. You should just stitch it up by hand.

26. Levi's vintage, D'artisan, a.p.c, and my brand new sugar cane okinawas that I picked up today! Will have to hide the canes from my girlfriends for a few months though... Yeah, I'm whipped like that.

The 501 didn't survive it all, that is why they changed the cut every 10 minutes.Quote:And like I said before to each their own but for me I'll take my 20s 201s or my 37 501s. Trends have come and gone but the one thing that has survived it all are 501s. Like it or not its a fact. We'll see in 15 years who's still making denim. I'm pretty sure that Levis, Lee and Wrangler will still be around.

Panik>> I'm guessing 1.5 or almost 2 inches. They streatched very much.

I have a pair of premium 501's, they were also super tight in the waist at first, now I need to wear a belt with them . If they use the same denim they should stretch quite a bit in just a few days.

"The kit" is not a good idea. I have a very hard time imagining 200 people from this forum making their own jeans, and paying $145+ for it.
A more realistic approach would be that someone tracked down a roll of selvedge denim and had it sewn up at some sweatshop.

Coldrice, did you get that detergent in japan? If so, where?

Where does this "swim in your jeans" come from? Is there a point to doing this?

I have checked the D'artisan site, and from the looks of it the difference betwen 103,203 and 303 is the weight and that the 103 has hidden rivets and 103,203 has a leather patch?
But is there any difference in the dying? Or will they all hold thier color equaly good?
Any other differences?
Please help me!

I went to the hinoya stores yesterday and I didn't see that model. But the cheaper ones seems ok, nothing more or less.

Thank you for the links. It was helpfull, however, on the two shots comparing the 66 and the XX they both looked good. But if i could understand correctly the XX holds it´s color better?
47 canes are a candidate as well. I guess it all comes down to fit in the end.
And hopefully I will be able to get them from japan, because I´m going there TOMORROW!!!

How´s Denime´s non XX denim? The difference in price betwen the 66 type and the 66XX type is about 10.000 yen.. is it worth it, and if so why?
Also, Denime has a shop in Daikanyama, right?

Thank you. I was considering getting the new ones even though the back pockets are wrong. But since they changed the denim I´ll stay off. I had the old ones a few years ago but sold them... I still regret that.

Nice photos.
Btw, I´m going there in 2 days and will stay for 2 months.

Does the blue line 201´s from last season (the ones where they messed up the back pockets) use the same denim as the older 201´s, the ones from ´96 or when ever it was?

I think you missed the point, the washes are supposed to look fake. Prices aren´t that bad, around $300 I think.

Pointy shoes looks good on some people (only mods?). But white pointy shoes just makes me think of the tanned boys in shibuya...

I went to bears today to pick up a pair, but after trying them on I got the normal 811 instead. They were just too low rise for me. And yes, they do run amazingly small.
