Have to spread rep it seems..
Any reason that why you didn´t go with regular z bars?
It looks a bit busy on those bars.
Of course no deal breaker, just curious why you went with those.
http://www.chingcame.com/ chingcame motorcycle & biker is quite good.

i have been wondering when sufu will discover bratstyle... maybe if you guys get into it you could proxy me some parts for my xs650?
Bratstyle is nice, Dice covered them in their japan issue last year.
You know of http://www.mikesxs.com/ for xs650 parts, right?

I would like to get 3.0 back while they work on removing the left sidebar, the dots, change the colors and make it user friendly.

It´s too wide for my notebook screen now, so I have to use the bottom (side?)bar to be able to read the last part of what everyone is saying.

anyone have information/pictures on some of the bike nbhd has made? i'm looking to do a mostly powdercoat flat black looking bike, with that sort of badass/old school biker gang skeez.... any ideas?
Hot dock makes them, they also sell some Nacht Jaeger parts (Nbhd)
Here's the Nacht Jaeger deep site with all the pictures you could ever want.

So how much can I expect these 501xx 1947 LVCs to shrink in length? I've soaked twice, even threw into dryer, they're still about 2-3" too long (I have them double-cuffed).
I'm thinking of getting them tailored to about a 31" inseam, but don't want them to get too short later when I finally straight up wash em..
They should shrink about 2" in length.
Forget about soaking, it´s a waste of time if you are trying to shrink them. Just wash them on the hot setting and let them hang dry. The fabric will stiffen back up for a while so that whiskers and combs will set.

Good call to quote with the pictures since it bothers you that much.

Samurai 710.
10-11 months of wear. Maybe around 8 washes.
Not any dramatic changes since the last update, but they´ve gotten considerably lighter i color. I´m thinking about retiring them.
Photo in natural light. Color is pretty accurate.

Lars,
The first bike has a Flathead engine and the second is a Triumph, not sure which motor. Both have small tanks so you won't be going on any long drives without refilling all the time. Both will probably need moderate maintenance to keep them running so unless you're up to the challenge, i'd just suggest getting a newer bike with maybe a Shovel or Evo engine, or even a 70s early 80s Ironhead Sportster. You could pick up one of those for around $3000-4000, buy a service manual, and do all the work on your own.
It all depends on what you mean by cheap. Most guys that have old Flat, Knuckle, Pan, or Shovelhead bikes won't let them go cheap. I bought my '94 Springer for $8000, but that's because i'm in Hawaii. You could get an older bike for cheaper in real America.
Oh, and the one thing to remember about hardtail motorcycles, your back bone is the shock. The bike will hop around when you reach certain speeds on bad roads because there isn't anything on the bike to absorb road conditions.
But, with all that in mind, I still want an old bike too so good luck with finding one and let us know how it works out.
For some reason the 750 flatheads pop up quite cheaply in sweden (where I live). Sometimes they are only like $500 - $1000 more than an old ironhead.
Knucks, pans and shovels are expensive though.
Old bonnevilles are about the same as an ironhead.
My friend used to have a hardtailed shovel (with a sprung seat) that he'd let me practice on sometimes, so I know what I am getting myself into.
I've also had an old swedish military motorcycle for around 10 years that have needed quite some attention to keep running. So that is not a turn off for me.
Swedish military mc. Notice the ugliest fork ever made:

I would die for one of the above bikes..
That said I will try to get my licence next summer and try to find an old "cheap" hardtailed triumph or harley.

why the fucking hell do you need a 36 or longer inseam? fuck are you like 8 feet or something? damn kids
I´m 6'2 and I have tried on one-wash 34´s and they are just too short. I don´t need stacking but I would like to be able to sit down without showing too much sock.
+neg for being annoying.

They don't want to make a 36" inseam, or else they already would, considering how well those sell...look at all the Self Edge collabs. Sugarcane makes vintage cuts and they arent going to sponsor a contest that goes against what they do as a company. Would a hospital sponsor a "How many cigarettes can you smoke in an hour contest"?
What´s so un-vintage about needing a 36" inseam?
That´s the only thing that´s been holding me back me from buying a pair of Sugar Canes.

I would possibly be in depending on which jeans we go with.
How about we keep it below 15.000 Yen?
There's still plenty to choose from, SDA, Dubbleworks, SC, Burgus Plus, and I'm sure there's more.
http://item.rakuten.co.jp/hinoya/dw5p/ Looks pretty nice if someone could straighten out the inseams issue.

hey corter I got a question about the cardholder area. I'm trying to make a wallet for my girlfriend, and from that last pic you posted it looks like you just cut a strip of leather for each additional card. however, how do you stop each additional card from going all the way down to the bottom, if you sorta follow what I mean?
Start with the top piece and work your way down. Just stitch the bottom of each piece of leather and it will keep the cards from going all the way down.
All slots but the bottom one should have kind of a "T" shape to avoid having to layer all that leather.

I'd love to see some fit pics. +rep.
Thanks for the rep. people.
I don't have any fit pics. I am nervous about posting pics on the internet, even if it's just my legs. Sorry.

I am thinking about picking up a 1970´s Rado purple horse since I want something vintage and decent looking with a steel bracelet, and I´m on a very tight budget.
I don´t know anything about watches, so I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any reason I shouldn´t get one?
It´s around $100 so maybe I shouldn´t expect much, but at the same time I don´t want to have to get it repaired all the time. Any help would be appreciated!
