  1. i really don't like leather money clips for some reason.

me, i have a cheap ass evil monito x spiked punch "baby i want your money" money clip so maybe you shouldn't listen to me.

Haha, that's awesome. Reminds me of ODB. Unless, I'm just clueless and that actually is what it's referring to. But anyways, thanks for the comments everyone. I don't doubt Coach's quality either. My main concern is which color to get. :-\

  2. Quick stupid question because there's isn't a small question thread in supershopper yet but my ex is buying me a Coach water buffalo money clip for Christmas but I have no idea which color to get. I was leaning toward British tan but she was leaning toward the black. Eventually I'm thinking of replacing my wallet for the water buffalo pass case too. Oh and does anyone know if water buffalo wears well? As always. Open to suggestions.

  3. Wow that's a very good idea. Tomorrow, I have to present 4 cover concepts of all three brochures. So, I guess I'm going to present all three of my original ideas + one informing an audience about three new jean fits. Anyways.. I should go to my school library and get cracking. Thanks for the help everyone. As long as I keep up w/ all my work, I'll keep you all updated.

  4. I totally agree with chicken. Most people not going to get the difference of denim fabric. They think denim is denim. going for Cut will be better. I was thinking washes..but it should be more of crazy washes (treatments etc.) Not Raw or one wash..

What kind of treatments did you have in mind?

btw.. just a note : I think I saw a past project in which someone did brochures on types of distressing from minor scuffs to gaping holes so that wouldn't be an option.

  5. Thank you... that is a very good reminder to keep things simple and the location thing really would be pretty hard to do. Before now, I was simply thinking of the written information I would need to provide since research, no matter how simple the subject, can still be very hard and I knew there was a decent amount of text written about location. But visual information is just as important. Thanks for the heads up. The brand suggestion is also very good. I'll keep it in mind.

  6. Hey everyone, I just wanted your opinion for a Graphic Design project I have for school. I have to create a series of three brochures that are "totally unique, yet related". For example,

    I. California wines

    a. Napa Valley

    b. Sonoma

    c. Simi Valley

If my topic were denim what three subsections should I work on? I was thinking either

    I. Denim Production (location)

    a. American denim

    b. Japanese denim

    c. Swedish denim(?)

    I. Denim Washes

    a. Raw denim

    b. One-wash denim(?)

    c. Pre-distressed denim

    I. Denim Fit

    a. Straight Leg

    b. Bootcut

    c. Tapered

Possibly even denim eras pertaining to fit, value, aesthetics, etc... which I would probably need help getting a headstart in. Any other suggestions would be great. I don't believe they have to sell anything to anyone, just inform an audience. If you all want I can try to keep updates. Thanks in advanced for all your help.

  7. I've got the H&M Sliq Raw's about a week ago but I shrunk and and hemmed them so I've only worn it one day so far. I hoping good things come out of it. The jeans are kicking my ass though. I bought it tagged as a size 28 but I measured it and was actually 31 in. They shrunk to about a 30 which is my true waist size however these are the slimmest jeans I've ever bought so it's gonna take a bit of getting used to. I originally intended on saving up for APC's but I was really excited for the Sliq's.

  8. Haha... I'm Filipino but my mom hasn't stolen my jeans to wash yet. She always tells me how disgusted she is though and how she doesn't know who I'm trying to be and suggests I'm trying to be like those young homeless guys you occasionally see all around the Bay Area. She also doesn't understand why I do it because none of my friends do it. Though I'd imagine she'd freak out even more if they did.

  9. I used to like their stuff. Even have a Gold credit card for the place. But I'm a small guy and most of the clothes don't fit me. And since I'm now a Superfuturian, I don't buy their jeans. Though an old pair I have from there is my favorite pair. Super slubby and the whiskers, although fake, aren't nauseating and somewhat subtle. Even the 1MX shirts in small are still looser than I'd like. Now I only buy their screen tees. I'm only 5'4 and 115 lbs though so yeah. Sadly I probably won't grow anymore since I'm turning 21 in a couple months.

  10. lol.... Fubu.... LLCoolJ and the 90's endorses the hyphy movement.

My friends' sister hates the song because she's claims to have been wearing vans since as long as she can remember without needing a song to make her want to go out and buy it. I personally don't think anyone should care, unless of course you just find the beat annoying or don't like vans.

  11. I haven't seen their Raw SLIQ's in SF for a long time. When I saw them before, they only had about three pairs and then they moved things around and I don't see them at all anymore. I tried asking the cashier and I don't think he knew what I was talking about because he was saying about how sometimes they don't restock certain accessories. But yeah... they should be less than $50.

  12. I've noticed ever since Vans got popular with Hyphy movement type people in the Bay a lot more people have skateboards. But all the ones I've seen actually skate. My guess is they're all people who've previously skated and felt the desire to get back into it. I'm attempting to get back into it myself but only because I suck and I want to get better before buying a longboard.

  13. I called em Crashintosh's because people insist that Macs never crash, when, they

can fuck up just as often as any PC.

And, why are Macs the industry standard in creative enterprises? Because for the better part of last decade, Macs were genuinely able to better handle the types of programs needed in those industries. But PCs have caught up and surpassed Macs, and sticking Intel chips into Macs isn't going to change that fact any time soon.

Even if for any reason your statement is fact about PCs catching up and surpassing Macs, they will NOT replace Mac's in the Graphic Design field which is what this topic was about. Maybe you're able to do better on a PC but if you're going to work in design or start your own company, you will need to be proficient in using a Mac because that's simply what everyone else is going to be using. Not to mention the convenience and speed of the hot keys that aren't as numerous on PC's.

  14. I got an imac and a wide-format epson printer as soon as I got into Graphic Design at my school but others aren't as lucky. More than half the students I know have a macbook (wasn't it called an ibook before??) and are happy with it. If you're getting into Graphic Design, every student your first semester will be talking about bootleg adobe CS and 1 out of every 15 will probably have a copy. Mac's are industry standard for a reason, plus it's less prone to viruses right?

  15. What are the differences in the cuts? They all say straight leg so I assume they're just different varients of bagginess. As far as I can tell the Hiro's seem to be the skinniest and the Sebastian's are the baggiest. But what about the rest?
