  1. Thx man, I was busy at Art School, and tidying up my room. I finally finished my room (It takes me about a month to do this). Also I am catching up with my Design Drawing 1 hw. Life is better and I am working on a pair of New Cure which is really tight to a point that I'm trying to sell it again last week but I think I'm keeping it now.

You makes me sounds important, HAHA Thanks.:D

Hey, do you go to Academy of Art University? I recognize our ID cards.

  2. Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that place. Do they sell untanned leather belts? If so, I can't find it. And for those who have bought belts from them (diewhitegirls) how has your belt been so far? Tanned or otherwise. I know there was a thread in which several people bought it but that was a while ago, what can people say about it after months of using it.

  3. I was wondering if anyone knows any places that can alter the width of leather belts in the Bay Area. Most belts I see on sale are usually 1.5 inch but I'm looking for something closer to 1.25 or even 1 inch w/out sacrificing quality leather. I e-mailed Tanner but they no longer do custom widths.

  4. Yesterday at the Levi's Store in Las Vegas I bought what looks to me to be a Type 1 jacket. It feels raw but none of the 4 employed I spoke to could say with confidence that it's Shrink-to-fit. I bought a small but it was still big on me so I'm hoping it does shrink. It also has a small 'e' and no red selvage. I got it for about $70. I'm pretty excited about it despite not being the $200 LVC one. If anyone wants, I can take pictures tomorrow. Right now the lighting in my house isn't very good.

  5. Does anyone know if the Type I jacket is STF? I tried on a small today and it looked pretty big on me. It felt quite rigid and I asked the people at the store I went to and they said yeah it probably is but only because it was with the other STF stuff. In other words, they weren't very convincing. If anyone has any information I'd sure love to know asap before I leave town.

  6. Uhhh... denimbaronline.com is currently having a sale including their nudies. I got some SJDJ's for $140 and free shipping. Sizes go fast but I was fortunate enough for them to restock and still have them on sale so a little praying and luck couldn't hurt.

  7. Thanks to evilgeniusdan and kert. My hips aren't really 29 and forgot to take the rise into consideration. My hips (where a lower rise pair of jeans would sit) are actually about a 31.5 so I'll probably order a size 29 since I've also heard 100% full shrinkage would be difficult and require serveral hard washes and hot dry.

  8. So, I heard a ton of people sizing down only one size but according to the chart it can shrink up to two sizes down so let's say I'm trying to get a 29 in. waist, would I order a size 27? And if that's true, does that mean they measure at a size 31 in its original raw state?

  9. Haha, I know. I don't expect instant crotch holes. Though I'd sure impress myself if I did. What about reinforcing it just with thread in either a zig zag or just a little something extra right where the seams cross. There would be no extra abrasion and it won't look any more silly than patching once a hole develops. I just don't know if there's anything I'm missing that could be bad.

Also, some people mentioned a cloth material and I can't possibly see that adding extra abrasion. If I just patch it up with that beforehand, I don't see a problem.

  10. As far as I know, all interfacing melts. I suppose if people worry, you can specifically say iron-on interfacing. However, if you're right, you're right. You probably know much better than me :D

  11. So, what about patching brand new jeans? Meader mentioned using extra denim (which I would probably have from hemming) but doctorgnar said not to use denim. Any other suggestions?

Also, I believe the "bondaweb" modernlover is suggesting is more commonly known as interfacing in fabric stores.
