This is a pair of Skull 5010xx 6x6 Size 28. They are unhemmed and were bought raw. They were given a hot soak and worn for about one month. They have some wear but still have plenty of life in them. I have taken photos of the most significant wear spots. Here are the BiG style measurements:
Waist: 30"
Front Rise: 10"
Back Rise: 13.75"
Upper Thigh: 11"
Inseam: 37"
Leg Opening: 7"
I am asking $160 + $10 shipping (within the US), for a total of $170. Payment will be made via PayPal.

Picked up a pair of 0701s at BiG a few days ago. They are a size 28, hemmed to about 34". I'm loving the fit and denim. They are a bit roomier and more tapered than my Skulls (also a size 28). The denim is tight, smooth, and neat--similar to my SD-103s.
These are the best pics I could get. Hope it's enough to get the basic idea:

Hey man, great to see you wearing my former '47s with respect. They look much better on you than they did me. Please post more pics as you wear them more!

I don't know the answer to your question, but maybe someone else does. I know it's the same weight and seems to be the same, if that means anything.

I'm selling a pair of SC1947 29x32 with arcs and tabs intact in supermarket for a FAIR price:

I bought these jeans about four years ago. As you can see, the arcs and tab are intact. They were hot soaked once and worn around my apartment for a few hours. They have been in my dresser drawer ever since and remain in mint condition. They are a tagged size 29x32. I am 6' feet tall and think they are a tad short for me. Please keep this in mind. I think they would work great for someone who is 5'10" and under.
I am asking $190 + $10 shipping via PayPal, for a total of $200.
Here are the BiG-style measurements:
Waist: 30"
Front Rise: 10.75"
Back Rise: 15"
Upper Thigh: 11"
Inseam: 32"
Leg Opening: 8.25"

Speaking of the cross, anyone know what the best tool/technique is to remove it?

Sam s710xx or NOTHING.
Looking for a fit similar to my APC NS (sized down 3 to 26) or FH3001 (size 29). I'm skinny and tried on the 710s in size 28 at BiG (Lot 11, I believe). They fit nicely, but were a little baggier than I expected in the thighs. It's hard to tell if they will shrink enough in this area to minimize the hip bulge. Think I can make it work or should I pass on 710s? I'm looking for a slim but not skinny repro fit and love the denim/hardware on this pair.

SO, what have we learned children:
-NS: size down between 1-3, if you're unsure, go 2 or 1. These are straight leg, and have a wider leg opening than NC's - selvage
-NC: size down between 1-2, if unsure, just 1. These are a tapered straight leg, and have a slimmer opening below the knee than NS's - non-selvage
Nice post! I would say if you're unsure of NS sizing, always size down 2, never just 1.

I've always thought that down jackets are the only really warm jackets. Are there any linings that are comparable to down?
I'm looking for a fairly nice jacket (let's say up to $1,000). I'd like it to fit slim and not be puffy. In keeping with the superfuture tradition, aesthetics are as important as function, and it definitely needs to be very warm and use down or something like it. I like that APC parka, but I'm not sure it'll be warm enough. Any suggestions?
On another note, are there any Acronym jackets that are as warm as a down jacket?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Acne. They have great fits and a wide variety of washes, many of which are really nice. I personally would stay away from the repro companies and go with a fashion label.

Nice boots Griffin, did you get those at Barneys?
Yep, I got them at Barneys. Thanks, I've been wanting a pair like this for a while.

Someone should create a FAQ and put it on the first page. There must be 2,000 posts in this thread devoted specifically to sizing questions and answers.

Just get your normal size. I wear a 29 in everything (27 in APC), including FH3001. They were tight after a soak, but stretched out after about a week. In fact, my Skull 5010xx are also a 29 and I think the waist is tighter (but not the thighs). Don't size up, don't size down, buy your size.

For the record, I bought my 3001s in my normal size (29), and they were fitted but not uncomfortable before the soak. After the soak, they were snug and not fun to wear. I spent the next few days worrying that I had bought the wrong size and should have sized up. After a week, they had stretched out perfectly, to the point where they may have been a little baggier than they were pre-soak. I think captain's doubt is very natural because I went through the same thing. I'm not saying you shouldn't pass them on, but they are slimmer above the knee than most jeans and they will stretch.

I'm 6' 130lbs, which is pretty much in line with all the other height:weight ratios in this thread. My favorite fits are Acne Mic, APC NS, Flat Head 3001, and Skull 5010XX. For different reasons, I think I look good in all of them.
To the OP: The fit of the FH3001 on me has more style than the others I've listed. The Skulls, which are normally considered skinnier than the FH3001, are actually roomier through the thigh. To me, the cut seems a lot more traditional, whereas the FH3001 cut is going for something a bit more rock star. You should try on some Skulls if you can. I think they make me look more "normal" than the FH3001.
Check out Acne too. They have some great fits and washes. I think they're opening their online store at the end of this month.
