  1. Wow, thought this is a joke thread until skecr8r made his post, now became kinda interested. But it's quite difficult to find full body picture of myself in digitally, so I didn't have many to pick from..

Here's two pictures of different style or idea I was experimenting with lately, in any case.

My budget is low for stuff that can't be worn often (t-shirts, socks, etc.) and high for stuff that gets constant use (jeans, blazers, bags). And quite limited local selection, since I'm in Toronto.

  2. Has anyone heard anything about this brand? Picked up a sweater from them today, but havn't been able to find any information about the people behind it; Google only turned up a lot of foreign sites, basically got the idea that it's a brand out of Spain. Not even sure whether it's associated with the Philip Morris' Marlboro.

  3. as the topic said.. thought someone on this forum might know, just coincidentally.. at least more higher chance than the other forums i'm on.

i would order online, but it's quite urgent, i need it before mid next week (may be friend's birthday present).

    thanks guys ^^

    edit:

    err~~.. didnt think that davidoff's site would actually have a listing.. but.. it seems that they do.. so if a mod could delete or lock this thread ^^;;

  4. Has anyone tried doing this before? I'm considering it, and worrying about paint cracking, etc.. or whether a varnish on top would stop the problem.

Thinking about painting a lacquer-based colour-shifting paint along some of the stripes of an all-white Adidas superstar sneaker.

  5. I think both side of the argument makes sense..

As for myself, even though I don't buy fake, I would see a design from a certain design house and like it, however, the price is much higher because of that guy's name. I think in many cases, people just like the design.

Of course, you can see some kids, especially those with fake LV purse, Burberry scarf, etc. are wearing the fake to be a status symbol, that is very obvious.

So because of this, I must say there are two very different diverge motivation for fakes.

Actually for myself, I find it very difficult to tell whether a product is fake or not, especially just from looking at dyes, stitching, etc.. would love to learn how to tell whether it is real or not, but no where to learn it. So because of this, I just usually stick to retail outlet.

  6. This is their reply after I asked them what would be the result if I took it to Prada and check, and if it was fake:

    Quote: Dear Dan,

Thank you for writing with your comments. You are most welcome. It has been my pleasure to assist you. Most Prada boutiques will say

that our bags are not authentic because Bluefly is not recognized as one of their buyers. We buy from stores like Macy's and Saks

Fifth Avenue which Prada does recognize as one of their buyers.

But if you are not satisfied with any item you purchase from us, you can simply return it in its original, unused condition

(including all original packaging and tags) within 90 days for a full refund, less shipping costs.

Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any other questions or if we can help you with anything else.?Email us at

[email protected] or call us toll free at 1-877-BLUEFLY (1-877-258-3359) at any time from 8:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST Monday-Friday,

So they WILL take returns, but they also tell me Prada will tell me it's not authentic.. I feel a bit uncomfortable, what are your thoughts?

I don't have any comfidence in my ability to tell between real or fake Prada myself.

  7. Cool, I will check out Club Monaco and Danier later this week :)

Does anyone know how to tell Prada authenticity? I saw several bags on eBay for $200 to $300, but don't know how they can make it so much cheaper; however, they look quite authentic.. also, since people could just take the item to the Prada boutique (I think?) how can they protect themselves? They guarantee authenticity..

  8. Nope man, I don't know either of those places on King.. actually, I don't go to King St. very often..

Do you have the phone or web site of either of those places?

Oh.. and to give you guys an idea of what I'm looking for.. something like the Prada Viaggio medium duffle that's here:

    http://www.bluefly.com/pages/products/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=2012637231&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1269585&referer=youramigo&cm_ven=youramigo&cm_ite=links#

Actually.. what I want is EXACTLY that bag.. but don't want the Prada name that costs 525USD.. haha.. more like 200, without the name would be best :D
