  1. Anyone know what material to discharge dye from fabrics with? Picked up an unlined Valentino blazer recently (66% cotton, 33% linen), and found it really hard to work it into my wardrobe because of the shade of cream it is. I wanna discharge all the dye evenly and then redye it into a grey colour.

Will simply bleach + water evenly mixed work well enough for this? Anyone ever tried it?

  2. i usually wrap mine aorund the neck once but with a sheerer scarf i'll sometimes knot it once (like this but lower and more loosely)

bit of a derail but any recommendations on obscenely long solid color scarves?

like a white grey or black affair that you could wrap around a few times and still be past waist level on both ends

How do you tie that knot? It looks quite good.

Isaac Sellam Experience leather blazer.. bad pic, but I'm really satisfied with this blazer.. was worried that it wouldn't live up to the price, but this has been some of the best leather I've ever worn, and the fit of the blazer when its buttoned is great too.

  4. Has anyone bought one of their leather jackets before?.. looking at a pretty nice leather blazer, but it's seven bills, and that's not cheap at all.. gotta think about it XD

  5. Looking for alot of knitted stuff.. stuff that actually looks knitted, handmade sweaters, etc.. but I definately havn't seen that in any of the conventional places. Trying to experiment with a bit of home-made look in my clothing, although I want light-weight materials.. I -hate- thick sweaters like normally sold in stores..

Looking for something like this, actually.. the grey button-up sweater that the guy is wearing in the top right: http://www.style-arena.jp/shibuya/2005/11/w4.htm

    Any ideas guys?

  6. Hmm.. well, normally I wear 30x28, but I will just get 30x30 and get it hemmed if its tappered then. Thanks man..

And as for the price.. wow! Even the top end of that at 1700HKD is so incredibly cheap compared to how much it would cost to import to here.. that's only like, 300CDN. Awesome.. and I can buy confidently at Lane Crawford cuz there won't be any fakes for sure..

Well.. I guess I'm decided then.. haha.. any chance that anyone here has a few pics of this season's?

  7. Anyone know how RM jeans fit? Havn't had any luck finding a legit-looking online retailer, and havn't seen them at all in Toronto, so I wanted to get a friend in HK to pick it up for me before she comes back during the summer.

Also, does anyone know the location that they could be found in HK? Thanks guys..

Yeah, I know the general opinion on this board is that RMC is overpriced, but I for one like the hand embroidery detail on the back pockets, very colourful, attractive, and most important, distinctive..

^ To be perfectly honest man, there is no difference at all. People will probably try and tell you shit about how the real ones are better quality silver, but being a "silver snob" is like being an "underwear snob" its just fucking stupid. The stuff costs $10.50 an oz., and it is very hard to mess up, superglue costs more an ounce than silver. As a hobby jeweler, I have bought alot of this shit to mold the designs, etc. to make for friends, and believe me, even if it was .91 silver vs. .925 sterling silver, it wouldn't be worth the $200+ price difference to buy Chrome Hearts/Crazy Pig or whatever the hell else you are into.

Does it take a lot of startup capital / skill investment to start trying to make hobby jewelery?.. it sounds really interesting, but I have no idea where to start.

Red120. People are so afraid of two things these day: true, distressed clothing and wild hair. To be honest; I like both on you. Rips & tears. You should try to pick up some Ann Demeulemeester, Yohji Yamamoto, Martin Margiela or Comme des Garcons. It's all on eBay, you can get the stuff fairly cheaply, to be honest. The way you look I think you should always wear accesories, like scarves, especially, and jewelry.

Haha, good call, very good.. actually, Comme des Garcons (& all the little spin-offs) is my favourite brand.. not so much to wear, but more for creativity. Had a lot of problems finding genuine articles on eBay though, and I don't want to buy any fakes. The retail mark-up for CDG in the boutiques here is pretty crazy - the CDG x FP polos were going for 200CDN, compared to equivalent of I believe, 120CDN, when I was in London in the summer.

Any suggestions for the jewelry? I won't wear scarves, because of my short neck makes me look like a turtle if I do; I like a lot of jewelry, but always have trouble finding affordable (<200) but also good design.. haha.. all the nice stuff like Chrome Hearts is almost like an investment when you buy it, can only have one or two pieces with the four-digit prices..

  10. Hmm.. well, about the guy who mentioned the regret by 40 and how tattoo limits you in society, there's a lot of places you can be tattooed that you would never be seen in an office setting. Shoulder, back, upper arm all won't be revealed when you are wearing a dress shirt, don't you agree?
