  1. One site (pretty finnicky so I wouldn't rely on it too much) that allows multi-city planning: http://questorganizer.com/

I usually use http://www.rome2rio.comto figure out how to get to point A.

I prefer Momondo and google flight over Kayak.

#1 go-to article for finding the least expensive fare.

    http://thepointsguy.com/2014/12/10-best-web-resources-for-cheap-airfare/

Hopper is a pretty good app that "kind of" predicts how likely your saved fare will go up or down.

Insane deals to be had are at: http://www.secretflying.comMost of the deals require to travel out of a big hub airport.

That article by thepointsguy has a website that tells you when the peak travel times are.

I actually scheduled my vacation according to the fare prediction posted on that site and I was able to travel to do a round-trip to Japan for like 800 bucks.

Also, I usually abuse the 24 hour cancellation policy and fare locks. That's pretty important. Requires a shit load of patience but it's one way to "win".

CCs: Chase sapphire preferred or SPG AMEX.

  2. the honest truth is, the things we covet japanese people always buy at full price even at the expense of downgrading their everyday quality of life. the best thing to do is just to look at stuff in japan and write down the items. buy from ssense and etc.

the only sale that i can possibly vouch for is the one at international gallery beams. for whatever reason, their discount goes beyond 50% off of retail and they usually have really interesting items from street-ish labels to haute couture fashion houses.

  3. I'm waiting to cop a retina pro. I mean, there are all kinds of crazy deals going on right now but

I'm just waiting for the early 2016 refresh. I feel like right now is literally a terrible time to cop.

  4. Did everyone exchange their galvanic? I have the green one from last year and saw the new black one in store. Functionally it must have improved but looks for me i still prefer the cotton one. Jus felt more special like towards a mackintosh coat or something

, compared to typical performance gear. Maybe its just the colors though...

They claims that replacement would be honored indefiinitely. I would like to replace mine but I don't really want the black one to avoid looking like a ninja.

  5. So, anyone had experiences with the Anode Pant yet? I just asked The Bird about its durability, and they told me they haven't heard of any issues, but the material is the same as on the Voronoi - which disintegrated within a few months in all the worst places.

I'm reminded of choice words I heard from Conroy Nachtigall...

Not good, that. (Or is nobody having issues?)

I don't own the piece but I've tried it on at the Tokyo store.

The material is very much wool-like. It's definitely not something you can put through the washer.

It looks high-tech but it's more of a regular steez piece. Not techy at all. It's an interesting looking pant though.

Compared to older winter-weight pants (maybe the apparat), it's more of a TTS fit. Apparat was skinny af.

on another note, i have a navy blue actuator (BNWT size M) i kind of want to sell. it's a perfect jacket but i own a lot o navy pants, and can't seem to find anything that would work with the jacket.

  7. feel at home leaves out some scandinavian countries and czech, i think.

new thing: apple now offers an Apple SIM. the SIM card works everywhere in the world seamlessly. the card costs 6 bucks but you have to buy it in person from an apple store.

one thing i don't understand is that some of the partner carriers for apple sim are CDMA-based providers like Au in Japan. do the newer iphones have both cdma and gsm capabilities?

  8. i don't have really much to contribute re: questions but for CC:

i'd get chase sapphire. i have a capital one quicksliver, which has 0 FTF and 1.5% cash back on all items but chase sapphire's been pretty insane.

the benefits / perks have been discussed 10000x before but i'm pretty glad i got it. the 2x points on all food including coffee; 3-6x on places i regularly buy from e.g. nike.com, yoox.com – crazy

Capital one's bank account is a really good one to have because unlike the big banks ala Chase, they don't charge ATM fees. Once in a while, they run promotions where they give you ~$200 if you open an account.

When I did a multi-country trip in Europe, vodafone.ie SIM and unlocked GSM phone served me well. if you have tmobile, all data is free (though limited to 3G).
