I see lots of girls everyday with LV bags, watches, other items, and wearing like the cheapest clothes.
It's a big fake market

Evisu says it started in '91, isn't that correct?

Umbro is garbage! bad bad quality... no point in paying that price

Too fake and overdone. This style is getting saturated.

racist wording on the pocket:
"FOR OVER 17 YEARS, Our Celebrated XX Blue Denim Copper Riveted Overalls have been before the public. THIS IS A PAIR OF THEM. They are positively superior to any in the United States, are made by white labor and enjoy the finest reputation. They are made of select nine ounce Amosken Denim, and sewed with the strongest linen thread. We shall thank you to carefully examine the sewing, finish, and fit. See that this pair bears the quality number with is XX and also our trademark. LEVI STRAUSS & CO. Cut full, honestly made"

skecr8r, I gotta say you impressed me. Made me re-think what I'm doing with my life, and messed up with my pride. Shame I'm too lazy to do all that... work, modelling and so on... What books do you read? not fiction I hope?

"Selvage and selvedge mean exactly the same thing - different companies spell it differently and there apparently is no "right" way to spell it. It comes from the phrase "self-edge" which refers to the edge being finished by the loom instead of sewn together after weaving. Selvage is the term commonly used to refer to denim that has been produced on a shuttle loom. Since the amount of fabric produced from a shuttle loom is significantly narrower than a projectile (wide) loom, the cotton consumption is higher and the time required is greater. In selvage jeans, you will see the actual edge of the fabric where the weaving stops and is finished by the loom, as opposed to denim woven on a projectile loom, where the fabric has been cut off at the ends. The "redline" selvage is Levi's signature and was used in all their jeans up to 1982, before Cone Mills sold most of their shuttle looms."

Quote: wearing raw denim jeans without washing them gives you crisper distressing areas due to their rigidity (sharper whisker marks) and unstable color (higher contrast). Pristine denim jeans are very unstable because the indigo is just basically sitting there on the surface of the jeans in the warp threads. This is why it rubs off through hard wear. There isn't a treatment in the fabric - they are made in the same fashion that Levis were originally made. They come straight from the loom to the sewing machine to the shelf. Washing jeans often will make a nice, soft-fade effect, but if you want the distressed, high contrast with strong whiskers effect, wearing them without washing can help you get there. Washing in a sense neutralizes the indigo's ability to rub off the surface - nothing wrong with it, just not what's really trendy at the moment.0 -
you want to know how not washing affects the denim? or what?

assuming fantastic results mean high contrast and wear then I think so...
those Japanese jeans that achieved similar results with 10+ washes could have used some special denim products, who knows?!

make sure they DRY clean it...
tell us the results later, please!

Thanks KY, I figure from some pics on mynudies.com that it is best to keep them unwashed for a year + so the upper leg and the ass get lighter, not only on the creases. Maybe 1 year and a half or two years before the first wash would lead to higher fading results I suppose.

No distressed denim looks as good as a naturally worn one. So I go for the raw, and I'm starting to think it looks good being new, dry and shiny.

Doesn't surprise me, Jesse Rajawongse makes custom suits for George Bush for only $250

Jesse Rajawongse, if you can go to Thailand
Kiton, Brioni if money's no issue
In any case a tailored suit is better than ready-to-wear

A woman came to one of those parties full of rich people in the top floor of a big hotel. After walking around she sees a handsome man, isolated from any group, taking a drink.
Obviously it came to her mind that it could be a bored millionaire, and she could give him just what he wanted.
Approached him and started to talk:
- What are you drinking?
- Magic beer, he answers.
- Come on, what are you drinking?
- Really, magic beer, see.
The man drinks the beer, handles the glass to the woman and starts flying around through the hall, and then returns to his place.
- How did you do that? Where are the cables that hold you?
- There are no cables and it's no trick. The man drinks again and flyes through one of the windows and returns by the other.
The woman totally fascinated by what she saw asks if the magic beer has the same effect on her.
- Of course! Answers promptly the gentleman.
- Bartender, please give this lady a glass of magic beer.
The lady rapidly drinks, then running, jumps through the window and falls like a vase on the floor.
The gentleman pretends a smile, and then the bartender says:
- Superman, when you are drunk you are a big son of a bitch!

It will stretch, but will still be slim. It comes to a point when there is no stretching anymore. When I've got mne I could barely do the waist button, but now they're fine. I wouldn't have ordered a size up. They fit perfect to me.

well, Louis Vuitton has all the rights to remove that painting. It's their idea, their trademark. Awful such a lack of originality be everywhere.
