  1. One pair of sneaker/shoe per week. If I didn't buy anything that week, I end up buying more shoes the following week. Though I don't go for limited ones, I stick with simple sneakers like Vans, that way I don't burn my paycheck. If I'm on vacation or leave, I buy clothes everyday!

  2. Walked in already at the Vice store, all the Men's jeans were baggy and wide legged. So I just tried a pair of women's black denim. I was looking for a skinny fit and it didn't disappoint me. The staff was a somewhat busy with setting up and so I didn't really hang out that long. I'm no expert to report about the quality I've seen there. But overall they were just too plain looking for me, but if that's what you're looking for then check it out.

  3. Just came from HK a couple of days ago and here's what I think. Everyone dresses trendy there to the point that I haven't seen anyone unique/stand out. And I do observe a bit of a Japanese style following but still mediocre. I would still consider their dressing on the safe side. Hey doom, what sneaker store did you go to? I do love some of their stores and the way they were laid out, I concentrated on buying HK labels. Sneakers are so cheap plus they gave me extra 20% just for being a visitor. Literally, you will shop 'til you drop here, most shops close at 11pm.

  4. Yeah, I've got a Helmut Lang women's jeans in the Contour fit, very similar to the APC tight. Also between the APC men's Tight and women's Tight, the cut is almost the same except that the women's has a lower rise plus a shorter seam (32-33"). This is good if you don't wan't your jeans hemmed.

  5. 5 months, never washed never drycleaned. Just Fibreeze. I'm planning to wear them with out wash for at least a year. One of the reasons, I'm affraid of the shrinkage in the length. Based on the posts of some who already have washed them, my fades doesn't even come close to half those results.

  6. Ok here we go. I'm only gonna list the vintage stores, since I prefer that over thrift.

Rags-a-gogo 14th st between 8th and 7th ave (great cheap stuf, friendliest staff)

Starstruck on the West Village (pricier but worth a visit esp if you're into deadstock rock & roll stuff)

East Village 7 and 9 Sts, has lots of small vintage shops, too many to mention

Avenue C has one hidden too, if you're into really old dressy shoes.

Found this great vintage/army surplus store around the corner of Church and Canal

    Brklyn:

Bedford Avenue near N4 I think, they have another store on Hope st.

And of course flea markets sell vintage. My favorite is the one on 11th Street and Ave B every Weekends.

    Happy hunting!
