That scarf-like fabric. But not as expensive as Nom de Guerre, which I believe is $100+. Thanks!

Most of the dive bars don't have any special thing goin on. So Mars Bar, Max Fish, B-sides are pretty much the same all through the week. Most of the theme events happen on Fridays, at Lit, Happy Ending. I'd like to add Fridays at Scenic ,on Ave B and 2st. and another dive called Beauty Bar on East 14th street.

Just saw this girl wearing slim jeans and boots early this morning in the street. She totally stood out amongst the sea of regularly dressed girls. I guess it applies to both men and women, only rock this if you have the skinny figure.

Number (N)ine to me is like the trashier rock and roll look. A lot of dark pieces but not goth at all. If I had the money I would definitely buy some of their stuff. Their clothes are soft and not worn out looking, boots aren't that bad. Agree that the staff are very cool and helpful. The design of the store itself is nice.

I've gone there before but never really bought anything for myself, it's usually to find bargain stuff for gifts. It's all chains and mainstream pieces.

Maybe something like a twist to your regular converse style sneaker such as this:

I've picked up a Double Identity sneakers before in a similar all white style.

I've been thinking of that too or the 1906 which is a higher boot.

Agree very much on the tees. They're super soft as hell, but I seriously won't blow 200$ on a shirt. Didn't see them in HK though. Lucky you, if you ever score some!

This might be the same Tantra I went to early this Spring. I went there past midnight, so I don't know if it's a restaurant by day. But it's definitely a nice local spot, mixed crowd and cheaper drinks.

I don't think it is a problem. I think that's how Dior denims should be worn. With the bunched-up-in-the leg look. Only a few jeans have a <30 waist with a 36 length.

I've been thinking of getting a Red Wing ankle boot for fall. The real vintage, worn out, are the best ..but no luck with size. Anyone knows where good stores in NYC has them? I'm having little time to window shop these days so hitting on the right stores would be great.

I've found something similar to the horizontal ones at Opening Ceremony, but I think they're not slim fit. Also checked out some pants at Number (N)ine store in the west side. A lot of interesting cuts and details as well, I didn't check the price intentionally. Ha!

Very true. I've postponed buying trousers because of my dry jeans. When I do buy one, I'm getting those horizontal cords pants or something what Undercoverism has, black pants with rips and zippers and shit.Quote:Who has time to wear pants when they are trying to break in dry selvedge and considering getting a new pair to alternate each day?
Nevertheless - i still like those ol' Carharrt work pants.

Been stashing it in my front pocket together with my wallet. But it annoys me now that I have to take out my wallet first. So I'm planning to get a nice clip.

Lit is one of the spots I'm glad that still has it. I was surprised after returning from a long vacation that Passerby already sucked. Or maybe I was there the wrong night?

Yes, don't buy something out of a trend. I've been rocking skulls since I was young, and been influenced so much with 80's skateboard graphics and punk. Hence I get drawn to liking stuff like Cloak and Number (N)ine over conventional styles. But if you do want to experiment right now, I'd say buy something inexpensive. If you're not feeling it, then not much is wasted. Also if you're gonna rock a specif style, I say go all the way and collect a lot of it.
