  1. I love how it's ok for a denim fade or a hand-made knit to be "beautiful," but tell a girl she looks nice and people jump on you for being a desperate nerd. Seriously, I love it.

Yea, get up out of your chair and go find a girl who looks like Soepom, cause sure they're out there. But there are also a million cats in skinny black jeans with drapey coats and 37 layers of dark grey knits underneath. For some reason it's okay to dedicate a whole page of gushing to the latter, but tell a girl good fit and you're vag-beasting. Awesome.

Using Still as an example is unfair. I don't think anyone but him and that other guy whose constantly decked in CCP have enough money to dress on that level.

Dress on what level? I thought the mantra of SuFu was that it's the swagger, the coordination and the confidence that makes a great fit, but all of the sudden to be on a high level you have to shell out ten grand per outfit? Not pickin on you dude I just think it's an unfair statement.

I know I'll get flamed for this, but the critics are so knee-deep in the groupthink that you can buy yourself some rep with handmade hand-hammered hand-dyed knits that 93 Italian and/or Japanese virgin seamstresses died making. Sometimes I can't help thinking, "does this guy act in person like as much of a depressed beatnik as he looks in his pictures?"

The fit on Soepom's dress is pretty spectacular. IMO she just needed to write "Yohji Yamamoto" underneath it and this whole argument wouldn't exist. I've *never* seen someone in the states or Korea who dresses quite like her... so go ahead and say that you don't dig her fits, but saying her look is a dime a dozen is, in my experience, complete bullshit.

  2. I would have to agree that the majority of pics posted on here don't warrent best waywt pics.

Yea guys, if rajio isn't in them, wtf are you even doing posting pictures?

    Needs moar black, IMO.

  3. I can see what youre saying, but the thing is, 90% of moderation and administrative functions consists of activity you have no idea about. the other 10% is something people complain and argue about in trash. how we cope with a few loudmouthed pests is a very small part of moderating.

Being a moderator myself on an another board, I'm quite aware of what 100% of the moderation duties consist of and the difficulties that go along with it - I'll refrain from commenting on my own moderator abilities because there's been enough vitriol thrown around in this thread.

I agree with what you're saying here, but I still feel like PR is a pretty important part of being a moderator, and part of a good image is projecting deserved authority.

I'm not naming names about any moderators because like I said, I like all of them and I don't want to get on anyone's bad sides because all of the mods are people who's opinions and posts I value. I just don't necessarily value the moderation from all of them.

  4. Favorite Bauhaus shirt + possible San Diego evacuee status = okay.

Shit does smell toasty around these parts. The fact that he went outside with this air is dedication.

Love this fit, but hate to burst your bubble, Rye is an brit in LA, no refugee.

I hope youre holding up, by the way. A lot of my friends and family are evacuating, but I'm safe in hillcrest.

  5. cant believe this wasn't here yet!

    op5sn5.jpg

    - urban outfitters v-neck

    - shitty posture

    - abbercrombie jeans

    - level after next vagina

    - brand justified flipflops

Jeans actually look like Helmut Lang to me by the wash and fit

but regardless, I agree this is a fit I wouldn't post in WAYWT if I was wearing it. and he seriously needs to work out that cameltoe issue. Looks like the jeans are just sized-down or something and they won't come down.

  6. My only disagreement with the moderation is the way in which it seems moderators were chosen. Simply being a prominent poster, having good WAYWTs, photography, having high rep, being funny, being friendly (the list goes on) are not qualities that instantly should grant someone moderator priveleges.

I think of Superfuture as being like a middle school cafeteria, and you have 7 or 8 hall monitor kids trying to deal with shit that's just way too busy and complicated to take care of on a strict rule basis, so the troublemakers are constantly picking on them and in the end they're pretty much powerless.

No offense to all the mods but IMO the only one who should really be a mod at Sufu (aside from the original admins) is Minya, who is not entirely consistent but has a pretty good judgment and is willing to make tougher decisions that are usually for the best. I think OMC could make a good mod but feel like he'd rather just keep posting, there would be a lot of crushed souls if he had to lock or ban people since I have a feeling he's one of the most looked-up-to members of SuFu.

Actually I think Hap mods pretty well, too. I personally like all the mods here as people & posters, but I agree to some extent that for example, Carl being an excellent photographer does not qualify him to be a mod.

Jmatsu man if you keep grinding your axe you're not going to have any axe left.

  7. omc, that is some really fucked up shit.

They probably wanted your girlfriend to take off so that whatever they grilled you on the girls wouldn't hear and thus couldn't testify or witness to it happening.

I hope it pans out well if you take action against them. For justice's sake, I want you to get them fried, but for your sake I think it would be fruitless and possibly expensive. Good luck either way man, I can only imagine what kind of state your mind is in right now.

  8. Testicle fragrance sampling is a fantastic way to gauge the approximate time of your last shower. The keys to successful results are a deep understanding of smegma consistency and a sharp sense of smell for detecting pheromone levels. If you can smell it when you take your pants off, it's been at least a day or two. If it burns the inside of your nose, it's definitely been a week or more.

  9. red, i never worked in a winery. Serge did

    forgot

mouko - sharp as hell, made me feel dirty

fadetoblack - tilted hotel-looking dorm hallway

geowu - so.many.questions, size 34 waist bought size 30 APCs

red - i think miz said, "they love okinawans in mainland japan," and that's my oldest memory

miz - made his own jeans, they were baggy, thought he was a fobsta

I remember that thread where the guy basically says, "hey lets make sweatshirts way cheaper than CYC" and they end up being about the same price.
