yes i will try to post some pics sometime this weekend, i am quite picky so want to showcase them well.

i saw the uniglos and they are very nice- not lest because of the price...very plain and similar to apc but didn't try them on. also, they feel a bit lighter than apc, do you know the weight? i would invest but need to slow down a bit on the consuming...

for edwins, i have sens which have selvedge line on the coin pocket and right back pocket, imo they are excellent. well made again and quite underrated i would say. in terms of fit, ring ring is dead on, they are not skinny tapered and not super baggy, they seem to be fit properly with re:to waist size.

they are washed unfortunately, but again got a good deal so couldn't resist! the selvedge line is gucci red, white and green. pretentious to some other than that the gucci details are the leather patch, buttons, strap across the back...somewhat lowkey, but i must admit it was the details that drew me to these. i am on my way to uniglo to check out your advice.

the apc's are still unwashed, i am glad to see on other threads that they are getting popular, with your help no less

wo killa, snipes are available in london at various places. try schuh, think the website is www.schuh.com or .co uk - snipes aren't all that. wallabees, weavers any day...

apc english cut are quite baggy despit being 'stiff'. paired with sneakers or trainers they basically fall over them- not slim, and that is with it cuffed. i am afraid that i am not motivated enough to post a pic but if it helps i wear my apcs with white leather all stars, white nappa spring courts, padmore and barnes sand suede weavers, and even redwings and objectively speaking it all works well. and yes my white trainers get blue but really not much you can do about that... hope that helps.

hey r/and/s, the ones i got are low cut, weaver style, irlandia i think but it seems like that have a few- for 15 quid you can't go wrong. picked up some clarks natural leather desert boots, nike safaris, cr8rec dechicos and adidas aps (leather) as well, all 15 quid each...well worth checking out if anyone is in london this weekend. st.martin's lane.

depends on your definition of cool? east london has some interesting shops- ie. Butcher of Distinction, Gloria's Central London has The Hide Out, Bape, Stussy etc...Liberty's is good place as well and then there is Duffer, American Classic in Covent Garden. Dover St. Market v. cool on Dover st., then there is South Molton whoch leads you to Selfridges etc...so basically depends what you are looking for.

office sale shop in london have a few sand coloured suede padmore and barnes shoes- very good deal £15- just copped a pair.

i am positive, as i said they weren't done on new jeans, they were done on second hand jeans so it was that much more difficult to do since they looked exactly the same as when i got them from the second hand shop. and the seams and threads are tight, 5 yrs after the fact.

i agree that if you spend xx amt on premium denim go the extra mile and get them hemmed right, but paying the most doesn't always get you the best...

it's funny that it takes a tailor to hem jeans properly. when i lived in asia the seamstresses were able to hem the jeans and then sew the original bottom back on so that they looked original. i had this done for second hand jeans as well as a second hand jean jacket. all this in an hour and for 2 US. and it wasn't in a sweat shop filled with 10 yr olds either, unbelievable how the west makes prices so inflated and so difficult!

does anyone know where to get these in london? i know they are available off of being hunted but want to see them in the flesh...

i would suggest going for the larger pair since you are not used to a snug fit. i have a pair that is a size up as well and they fit much better than my regular size since it seems natural for them to hang a bit low and not on the hips.

from my experience they have not shrunk, but then again i only wash them in 30 degrees. hope that helps.

thank god someone asked ringring about the process if you wash them once if it is still possible to get the 'nudie' effect...though looking at the jeans again it really is brilliant marketing on their part. those guys that went hardcore for 6-12 months must have really stank!

you must know by now that ringring is the resident denimologist- he has crazy knowledge!

and what ringring said was true about gap denim and brands. there are some that look simply at the label, some that like the details and some that like quality. as i mentioned in another thread with ringring labels like prps and rogan have really simple and amazing details, however apc, another quality denim brand have virtually no details which in my opinion makes it just as attractive- the quality speaks for itself.

i am not surprised...looking at the ice creams they look mysteriously like the s.carters that i am sure do not sell for the same inflated price...i am sorry to offend anyone that forked out their hard earned money for them, but they is fugly!

then they are the english cut ones mos definitely! i should have knew that from 'anglais', but what a reasonable price when others come in at sooo much more. with the missus discount i got a real deal.

yeah, a friend of mine told me he dry cleans his evisus because he likes them stiff, but i am not posh like that i'd rather they get worked in properly then rinse them. i don't mind febreeze and some outside hang drying- i shan't be trekking about indonesia anytime soon so i really don't think they will be that dirty, only thing i hate is when going to a chinese restaurant and coming back smelling like i was the one who cooked!

you know i am not sure if they are english cut or regular ones however i can say that the size really seems to differ from others since my reg size seems to be about a size up on these, not sure if it is because it is compensating on shrinkage after wash or not?

its funny, with other brands ie rogan, pdc, tsubi, prps- it is the details that are attractive yet with apc ther are no real distinguishing details which is attractive for that reason...at least to me.

chatting to you on this forum about denim is so surreal. the stuff you pass on to me i pas on to friends and they think i am a nutter- but then i completely credit you so it is ok.

i looked at the nudies today and they are nice but not on sale- 115uk. so instead i picked up a pair of apc's with the same intention of the experimentation as the nudies. the apc's were an absolute steal, only 65uk and with alittle help from my lady all is good....

yes, i've just checked on the site...that link you sent has done damage to my psyche...i am not keen on 'not' washing my clothes, especially stinky denim- but the effect that it has had on those pics are pretty amazing...will have to get another pair of selvedge and do the experiment...thanks.

ringrings words of wisdom do 'ring' true,

however, from my personal experience i spotted some rogans about a year and a half ago having not heard of them and thought that if i could make denim rogans are what they would look like. then i did some research on them and discovered that the style was consistent with the designers history etc...(rogan gregory, levis red). despite that and my wifes discount at selfridges i refused to pay so much for a pair of jeans. over here in london they go for 180 uk plus, some of the washes 200 uk plus, with the exchange rate at 2 to 1 you work it out.

anyways, as i posted to ringring i found a second hand designer label shop selling them for a very reasonable price and were in new condition. i could not be happier, they are the original wash and cut and i still agree that if i could make a pair it would be very close to what rogan has done...just waiting for a selvedge version, then again prps' selvedge denim is very nice as well...next hunt.

thanks for the reply. i'd have to agree with you on packaging. evisu's wooden box carvings with the same emblem on the back pocket of the jeans were quite nice.

on psycho cowboy i know a place in covent garden that sold them but i was not that impressed. tsubi is abot too aggressive for me to be honest. guess i am not a rock and roller (perhapes too old) but to have to pay sooo much again for denim that is destroyed is beyond me... i would rather go second hand shopping, much more interesting and much better character in second hand denim...
