The key difference between GTPL and GTV is the face fabric. The Polymer Dot Backer is pretty much the same.

GTPL face fabric is smooth and thin(except J104); GTV face fabric has a canvas feel(100% PES according to acrnm.com) and it's less noisy than GT and GTPL

damn thats cool to know. have experience with -gtpl so -gtv becomes easier to imagine. highly interesting that -gtv is quieter than -gtpl, which isnt as loud as -get but I still find kinda noisy. blessed response!

  2. anyone here have experience with -gt, -gtv, and -gtpl? I know the exact type varies from piece to piece and season to season, and while I dont find j103 itself interesting Im curious as to how the fabric compares to other gore products

I can only own 1 Acronym jacket and the choices are J68-GT and J119-WS. Which would y’all recommend?

68 tbh. 95/119 are super mid imo but every version of the 68 is fire. hope u to for Alpha Green!

So don't buy them, guys. Let that shit sit like the rest of these trash drops.

except p46 isnt trash, at least imo

youre probably joking but cringe lmao. it goes without saying people dont have control over their height and some sketchy expensive surgery isnt a solution either. not to mention im average height-ish at about 5’ 8” and usually small is fine. for like the 3rd time having to buy a size down which would still have generous stacking is ridiculous

honestly thinking what? not all pants are sized meant to be sized purely on measurements nor are all measurements to be treated the same, the pants are styled on the ms models in the same size as any other and is the intended sizing, the fact you buy "according to measurements" and intend to size down is not invalid but you're simply doing exactly that - sizing down. there is nothing wrong with the sizing in itself, your problem is complete semantics

i know to size for length with p30s. I know some pants are extra long for the stacks. but when your xs pant has an outseam 100cm+ thats ridiculous. semantics are an issue I agree but thats half of my point. I cant shop for my normal size bc its so gargantuan I have to go one size down aaaaaand its oos of course, like xs always is. every color, ever size is in stock except xs because its so big it fits people shopping for xs, s, and m. also kinda limiting to shorter people too honestly

honestly what is e thinking? ya I know its an oversized pant, but people buy based on measurements, and now a lot of people will/would be buying 1 size down instead of their true size - myself included. Rly annoying that xs always is first to go (bc that’s the size I need, despite being an s in reality) while everything else seems to stay in stock for longer. surely acrnm has noticed by now how certain stock flies and they should be adjusting runs accordingly. idk maybe I’m just salty lol

Sad I missed out on P24A-S but you win some and you lose some. A little frustrating that we had at least a week to prepare for the retailer drop which is mostly sitting, and  then we barely get notice for two highly sought after pieces that have desperately needed a re-release. But I guess it’s more of a quantity issue anyways when 1500€ pants sell out within minutes. That being said it’s nice seeing a “new” Stotz pant and the flex panels above the knee on the P24s are an upgrade I never knew I wanted, and I’m a huge fan of G2/G3 Crye combat pants…

wait what is this i didnt see it during the drop

  8. want to TRADE small black s27-pr (9.9/10) for a medium. definitely runs a little small so probably better if youre an xs or an s on the smaller side. great shirt but I just never wear it since its too small. located in conus currently. looking for 9+ condition in same color. I have bag/spec but i can live without it if you are looking to size down and dont have, thx!!

  9. excited for p46. seems more like an og acronym pant with the extra long belt webbing draping down. cut is obviously different, but reminds me of p15 and 17. these designs seem to be a minority of recent releases but I hope we get more of them

    Also purchased a J96-GT in S size.
I think that in M it would be too wide for me.
In S size, the village is perfect both in length and in shoulders. My height is 178 cm and weight is 76 kg.

A great jacket for every day, especially since it can be found at a very nice price.  If I find it at a good price in Khaki color, then I will definitely buy it too.photo_2023-04-03_23-01-59.jpg

looking good. I also really want a j96 in khaki - I have a feeling that because the color wasnt popular acronym wont ever make it again. guess Im waiting for the right price too but a lot of retailers seem to have it on sale. thanks for your sizing info! think I need an extra small

J47s have such tiny hoods though, barely shields me from the rain

gotta agree on the hood being small. the shape i feel offers good close to head protection tho, but definitely prefer the volume of the j1w hood

J47>>>>J1 and  j28 tbh. It's clean and not hyped af.

yeah i def think its slept on, and theres no shortage of j1 iterations. not a super big fan of j28 but I know its popular. really want to see more j47a (-ws specifically pls) and maybe j36. hell even the j47r is cool but the vanilla 47 i find somewhat lackluster. cant complain about the mic quality tho of mine - it still feels very good

    Enjoy your pricy tech journey!

And take a closer look to insulators and mid layers. They are relatively rare and imo so cool and unique

by the way, what do you carry inside 3a on edc?

glasses, hand sanitizer, phone + portable power brick, airpods, i have a pen actually stuck in the holder thing, mask on the back in the zippered mesh section, chewing gum, mini flashlight, small 300ml water bottle. sometimes other things. basic stuff but its nice to have on hand

welcome, what jacket did you get? imo there’s only a few (if any) that are cool or actually practical in daily-use. p10-ds are versatile and are also my go-to choice. backpacks > mess bags ;)

because it was cheap i got the j47-gt. its not as “cool” as j1 or j28 but it was fairly practical when it rained enough to warrant wearing. i do really like the 3d collar ridge on the j47 (and j36) and hope it comes to more jackets. maybe should have gotten a second hand j47a or ts

  15. hey all, first time poster and maybe a year-long lurker. was super hooked on the look of acr jackets and then i bought one - but was kinda disappointed. then i discovered the pants and that totally changed my life. recently got into the bags and they have been equally life changing

grail jacket: j1a-gtv (im size s if ur sellin)

    fav pants: p10-ds

fav bag: 3a-2, so much better for edc than my 1 imo

looking forward to annoying the gatekeeping old heads and making new friends. also maybe to scoring some deals…
