not really, because they don’t have my size in stock usually. Jeans are no problem but jackets, flannels and t-shirts are almost impossible to find. But yes, all the stores are here in the same area. Flathead, FW, trophy, RMC etc etc and then the select shops like Hinoya.

Where in Japan are you?
I live in Shinjuku. 20 min walk to desolation row. But they don’t usually have anything big in stock. Their retailers are better. Not that I need anymore shirts…

I politely asked them at Desolation Row about the interesting shape change from XL —> XXL.
they told me it’s on purpose and supposedly fits the Japanese body type.
I’ve lived in Japan for 16 years and I can say I’ve never met anyone that would fit in a T-shirt like that.
It really is bizarre…1 -

It might fit SpongeBob
You’re right! That’s the only guy it’ll fit.

Yeah the measurements online are awkward too. To be honest, the xxl measurements were so weird that I thought they must be wrong. I knew XL was too small so I just went for XXL. Like you said. They literally just added width. And a lot of width! It’s bizarre.
I did wash it, yes.1 -
I got a powerwear T-shirt in XXL from Freewheelers.
XL was much too small everywhere so I got XXL this time.
amazingly XXL is almost the same length as XL but just magnitudes wider. It almost looks like a big square. I’ve never seen a T-shirt in that shape before and can’t imagine what type of body would fit a cut like that.
It’s so awkward. Can’t help but think they made a mistake.
I mean XL in Japan is rare, so XXL is just out of the realm of reality to these guys. I’m not surprised they aren’t experts at bigger sizes but this is really really awkward.6 -
Must be the cheese dyed weft.

Those 601rb look blue in that picture.

Freewheelers back pockets seem to be pretty far apart compared to others. I heard Iron Heart does it too. Apparently better when sitting on motorcycles. Does Freewheelers do it for the same reason?

I’m sure! I’m just worried about the warmer months lol

One more question. For the WWII models. I’ve seen the 44-45 with olive green pocket bags and the 45 one it is I believe with flannel pocket bags.
is that the major difference and how does flannel hold up as pocket bag material?does it make any difference in hot weather?

Looks good! Anymore info on the painting on the back?
Met some people in America Mura in Osaka and got invited to a music event. They all had screen printed shirts by this guy across the street from Sankaku Park in America Mura. So I got the print on my jeans too. Glows in black light.

507xx jacket is very soft too. Probably same fabric as 51 601xx then.

Lighter? Darker?
1951 601XX is quite light blue

Are these all the same fabric? Just cut, sewing and hardware differs?

601XX 1951

Thank you for the anwser.
I think even 48 will be too small for my 1m96
Yes, probably. Size 48 doesn’t seem to add any length to the body and arms. Just a wider chest and shoulders.

I’ve asked before, but this 507XX in size 46 feels a little tight around the arms. Just seems to hug my armpits a little.
I can wear it over a T-shirt but definitely can’t do a sweater or flannel underneath. Wondering if size 48 would’ve been a better fit. From the size charts it looks like size 48 is the same body and sleeve length and just adds a 1-2cm in chest and shoulder width.7 -
Those RB look awesome! I have a pair waiting to break in very soon.

Desolation Row had the 507RB, same cut as 507XX they say, in 44 and 46 washed. I’m definitely a 46, which is a little surprising to me. I pre-ordered one and it comes with the T-back. That’ll be interesting too.
Found a size 46 new on Yahoo auction. 10% cheaper than retail price. This one must be older. It doesn’t have the chain stitch runoffs. This one feels like a good fit. Can easily close all buttons and sleeve length feels just right. I guess type 2 are supposed to be a little short?!
