i also should not that i requested a pre-soak hem or 34.5 inches. i was thinking these would shrink 3 inches in the length like the size chart had shown. they actually hemmed mine to 33 instead, and i wound up with the inseam length that i was hoping for. this could also mean they tested the denim more and it shrinks less than they thought, or they just made a mistake. 

so mine really did not shrink all that much in the waist or the thigh. the rise shrunk a welcome inch. putting them on damp convinces me that the waist stretches A LOT. this is making me think they may have cut them smaller to compensate for lack of shrinkage and excess of stretch. if that’s the case then they should have communicated that to us. i understand this is a new fabric for them and that the size chart was based off of patterns and not a finished product. 

the rise on my pair is comically high. here’s a direct comparison to the mister freedom lot 64. 

@Toegun that’s what i’m doing. i’ll give them a cold wash inside out afterwards. i want to get all the inseam shrinkage out. hopefully there’s some leg twist

i can safely say that my rigid jeans measurements are all smaller than the rigid size chart except for the rise measurement. 

extremely happy with my pocket bag combo. i ordered size 29 rigid. 29 is my 50s size. i’m almost positive these will be way too small after i wash them. measurements are 

waist: 28.75in

thigh: 11in

rise: 13.5in 

i’m in the US and my tracking info through fedex says “no signature required” 

having owned and worn 47s from size 28-31 over the past few years i think i’ve finally concluded that 30 is the one for me. every time i get a new pair i remember why they’re one of the coolest and easiest cuts to wear.

i’d love to paint arcs on mine but i’m almost positive i’d screw em up really bad. 

i ordered rigid as well. i’m going to need to hot wash them twice before i can start wearing, which i’ll do before the 1st. hope nobody comes after me with the pitchforks.

i guess that *maybe* reinforces the silent shipping theory. 

it looks like there are 73 japanese contestants (including ryo and inoue) i’m not sure how difficult it is for them to ship out 73 pairs of jeans but i could see that taking a few days on it’s own. 

while i don’t really agree with the practice of shipping overseas without notifying, i agree completely with that theory. ^^ 

unless they’re just shipping japanese orders first that is. 

i find it pretty hard to believe with all the hype and excitement that anyone who knows their jeans shipped wouldn’t come to the thread to talk about it. 

i was thinking they might be silently shipping them out. i wouldn’t mind either. it gets rid of the obsessive tracking neurosis 

tcb posted today on instagram that they started shipping out yesterday!

i guess the contestant list that volvo compiled probably won’t necessarily mean it’s the order that TCB will ship in since they likely don’t sync with the sequence that orders were placed. 

nobody got a shipping notification?

i’m assuming they will ship orders in the sequence they appear on the contestant list? i’m order #20. ryo posted saying it will take 10 days to ship all the jeans. that’s a lot of shipping!
