Okey i see, thanks alot! Really not what i am looking for in a winter jacket.

Just started wearing my J63-PB recently, so i can't say much about its durability yet. What i CAN say though is that it doesn't hold up as a stand-alone winter jacket as its simply not warm enough. If you want to wear this in winter, you def. have to add a few layers as it just hast some kind of fleece-lining inside and not much more. That said, i still really love the jacket and the material it's made of!

Does anyone feel like the J79TS-GT is basically a "new J1A"? And don't take that as a complaint, I like the jacket and it feels super similar, like a modern J1A and I love that idea. Like Halo 3 to Halo Reach. I do feel like the jacket is super extreme looking though, and I personally would never wear it in public because I would not want the attention it would attract. I really hope someone does a video of it because it seems like it has a ton of sick intricatic details. Hope we get a ventile version, blablablafabric dreams.

Yeah its kind of a sick Jacket, i also love the design of the hood a lot, all in all the pockets in combination with the TS does make it look very aggressive/military looking. I agree with you that i would probably not wear it in public because of this reason. For me, it feels more like a successor of J28 rather than J1A but thats just my opinion.

For me, the highlight of this drop for me is probably the J61-GTV. The GTV just looks so luxe, and the olive zipper and interops details really add something to it. Not sure if an A-Frame Parka is something for me because of it being so wide, also the price is like the highest of the collection but where not here to discuss this again i guess.

Curious to see fitpics of P33 because i'm not sure how to feel about this one yet. I also still hope there will be a release of the inverted xpac 3a-1 in the near future as this one is growing on me a lot!

With all these in mind we should see less interest in holding items because with better availability it is less interesting to pay high prices for older stuff (except key items).

You can definitely see this on grailed or other buy/selling groups on the internet. With retail that high, people seem to not even get back what they paid for originally (i.e. some SS19 jackets like J76-GT).

  4. J1A and P30A just restocked.

Am I the only one getting the impression that this is very likely to happen frequently? Let’s see what this does to the resell market.

3A-WB2 will be in by tomorrow, 154cm seems not to long, i will post an impression

Mine came in yesterday, hadn't had the chance to measure it yet - the package says 140cm which i think could be quite accurate. I'm a quite slim guy so it is a bit long but i still like it. I now ordered some acronym-esque plastic clips (as seen on the 3A-1 or 3A-3TS QLQR System) to hold the excess.

(Edit: i just measured it and it is in fact 140cm long)

Quick Review: The belt itself is pretty nice. Reduced, minimal, and very slim - as opposed to some cobra belts which are really thick and heavy. The d-ring "lock" works buttery smooth and the quick release strap is a nice addition to it. I ordered the black/olive colorway without knowing what it really is. The color is nice, one side of the belt is black/olive, the backside black - which results in kind of a bicolor look because of the excess length which is almost 50% of my waist.

  6. To anyone who got the 3A-WB2 (which i ordered this morning.. :)): 154cm seems kinda long, how do you deal with length? looking at the product pics on mothersite (which are of course highly staged i guess) the thing looks pretty okay, lengthwise, but i can't imagine it looks like this in RL

  7. Wearing my 3a-3ts (x-pac) almost daily for quite a while now. I think it's an awesome bag which could maybe have some more "features" (compared to e.g. bagjack sniper bag, etc.) but the overall size, material and design is perfect for me. So far so good - but one thing that's bugging me is the prominent crease it makes  above the main zipper (see picture), which is no real way around. Is it just me or are other people here having the same "issue"? Does the 3a-1 this as well? Any way to fix that? Or is it not a bug and more like kind of a feature? ;)

Seems plenty resistant from what I've experienced. Did it fail you in a total downpour?

It's what i read a couple pages earlier in this thread (about the P10A though). Germany weather is either too hot or too wet/cold for a lightweight spring jacket so it should withstand normal to heavier rain for my uses. Really a shame because i love the design and alpha green is such a good colorway..

  9. New drop is online on mothersite and pretty awesome in my opinion. Not that much into the bicolor J36 but the rest is pretty fire! J68 and J33 seem to be the most unique cuts while the J67 has the ShakeDry material we already saw in veilance SS19. I'm a bit sad the P31 is already gone in S and M though.

Has anyone made experience with the encapsulated nylon material? I doubt it stands heavier rain, right?

It depends. There have been years without a release, and years where there have been multiple releases (last year being an example of the latter, where they released the foil iteration in January, and the XPAC in October).

I personally see a restock this year as being unlikely, given that there are still plenty of other 3A's sitting on the shelves, but this is just speculation.

Mmh, thats the answer i expected, sadly. Let's see though.

I wouldn't mind picking up one of the "old" laminate 3a-1s .. but the only one on grailed right now is for sale for like 2000$  The olive x-pac ones (3a-1 and 3a-3ts) are also quite nice (also almost all attachments are still available on olive at acrnm) but im not sure if the military vibe it has isn't a bit too strong for me.

  11. How often does the 3a-1 usually get a new iteration? The last one came out like October last year, how likely is it that we will see a new iteration/restock this year?

yes this is loden. i never trust product photos when it comes to colors. additionally depending on material the color comes out different. these are all loden pieces in different materials.

Looks so much better as on the veilance site, thanks for the clear up! I thought about getting the monitor lt and frame tee in loden but the "official" product images scared me off a bit

  13. Has anyone got experience in cleaning stone island tank shield jackets? To be exact, mine is the coat from FW16. I mean, I guess it should probably be quite similar to cleaning a gore-tex jacket but the tag inside just says handwash. The thing got worn often and needs a clean, plus the DWR wore off so I need to do smth.

// EDIT: Washed my Tank Shield Jacket with the Grangers 2 in 1 recently. 30°C, low rpm. As i haven't got a tumble drier, i used a hairdryer. Came out fine, membrane is intact and the impregnation is like on day one. Note that Stone Island officially recommends hand wash and not using a tumble dryer at all.

  14. Lurking for quite a while, now I finally want to get more from the good stuff

    WTB:

    J43-GT/J43A-GT Size M - preferrably 08/10+ cond.

3A-13TS Black - i know this one is still available on the mothersite. If you have one and want it gone for below retail, hit me up.
