also, here's the difference of the P10A-E alpha green vs the J68 alpha green. the pants have a way stronger green tint in them and the jacket appears more beige-ish next to it.

my alpha green just arrived - absolutely love the color and glad I didn't go for raf. it seems like it looks more greenish in photos, more like concrete/dust irl. goes really well with the raf zips.

received CP2 and J89.

CP2 is actually a bit larger than the old stotz version. maybe it's because of the thicker and more substantial material, not sure about that. it has nice little upgrades across the board - now comes with escape zip, aux zip, and sling loops on the outside. highlight for me was the feel/texture of the new material - it made me want that J48 even more (but i'm definitely not spending 1.5k on a hoodie). CP2 overall definitely a keeper.

J89 turned out to be smaller / more profile cut than other similar pieces - I usually wear size S for these knit items, but the J89 in S unfortunately turned out to be too tight for layering. Regret not sizing up to M. Overall a nice piece, even though I'm still not a fan of the flimsy and non-elastic shirt sling, and it would've been great if they had done something to keep the lapels folded in place.

Does anyone know what this separate pull tab is intended for?

Older 3A-MK* come with it as well, and their specsheets lists it as "_25mm adapter tab", but I can't figure out what it's good for. (also weird that the latest MKs don't come with it anymore)

The hood roll is brilliant!  Really changes the look of the jacket, and maybe should have been an actual feature.  If I pull the the hood's cord adjuster through the jacket sling loop it kinda holds everything in place like the fast hood system.  Thanks for the tip!

I agree that sizing down is not the way to go and that pants like the P10 look best with a certain amount of stacking, but no one here is suggesting to go the endclothing route. If you size up too much on the other hand, all the articulation goes to waste as it sits in the wrong places (especially around the knee), and the excess material around your butt makes it look like you're wearing a trashbag.

Same for jackets - obviously you don't want to look like a sausage, but neither should you look like you're wearing a tent - it's all about getting the balance right.

Definitely go size S - I'm 5'10 155 with 31/32 waist and size S fits perfect - as opposed to size M which was too long and baggy, resulting in weird stacking.

You can see samples of everything on the product page photos. It's basically one double-page per model, showing the front and side view of the jacket in this "tricolor" print, together with some of the specs (even those are not complete, as the size measures are not included). That's it, there's nothing more in the booklet.

Wish they did a complete "archive"/"compendium" that had all products of all seasons with all information and all product shots.

so that j1 booklet thing arrived today. ironically the nicest thing about is the side-fold that shows all the model differences, while the actual main booklet is pretty useless due to the weird yellow-tinted print they decided to do. wish they would just have printed the product shots in their true color instead of trying to be artsy...

I had their solar charged jacket. Wore it once in rain, soaked through instantly despite it supposedly being waterproof. But the best part - the rainwater left weird stains/discoloration in the material that would not come out anymore - so basically 400usd out the window for wearing it one time ... will never buy anything from that brand again. If you asked me, they should use their budgets to work on the quality of what they make, not on all that obnoxious marketing.

I agree it's a bummer the 3A-2 doesn't come with proper tec-sys compatibility, but I guess if it did they wouldn't be able to sell any MK2 anymore:P

That said, you can actually use slotted loops on the top strap of the 3A-2 and attach it to another bag. Unfortunately the bottom strap doesn't line up with the webbing, but the bag isn't dangling around too much even without any bottom fixation. The shoulder strap nicely tucks into the backside mesh pocket, too.

More broadly speaking, what kind of modulars do you guys use on the 5TS/6TS? Thinking about different options right now.

5TS has 10.5cm width between the straps, 6TS has 11.5cm.

MK1 width is 12cm, MK3 width is 9cm. This is at the backside though, and the front side is 0.5cm narrower.

Which means - MK1 will fit super snug on 6TS, but it fits. It's too big for 5TS though, as others have already mentioned. (unless you don't mind the straps going over the MK1s)

To back all this up, here's a pic of my 5TSR with MK3s and 6TS with MK1s:

I had the J11 and I thought the material was actually the nicest part of it (i.e. the leather).

The cut was typical for early acrnm, i.e. the arms were pretty baggy and I felt a more profile cut, like the more recent models have, would go much better for a leather jacket.

But I agree, an Infinium version would definitely be interesting, too:)
