  1. After 105 days it's time to wash my 50's for the first time since shrinking! Curious to see what happens to the colour, have heard that they don't loose much of it.IMG_20171214_112330.thumb.jpg.c51c4833ec3d538337baa36bf48d1e45.jpg

  2. With all the talk about second (or more) washes/soakes I'm starting to get a little anxious. Only wahed my 50's once in 40 degrees and already put in 60 days of wear :o

  3. Thanks, it is the regular 50's, the angle makes them look a little slimmer and they're not as wide as I thought. Awesome jeans.

  4. Just got my 50's! A nice pair that probably will be better for the summer than my 16.5oz Japan Blues. Will post fit pic tomorrow when they've dried after the first wash.

if I was on 4chan I would recommend yee to lurk moar

but In this regard I am interested too…

I feel a little too green to post the response to such a question (which demands a real thorough knower to stump up), but here are some (tbh most found from denimbro browsing – the real archaeologists of turn of the century wear):

Oee did an amazing 1890 hercules (a denim bruin special, now sold out, but interesting for reference)

a link Fried-san has posted many times on the db leepro thread:

    and the lee japan options

blue blanket offers some nice examples:

    then…

basically all good Japanese repro brands should be knocking out a lot of 1920s onwards models

  6. ^ From what I know they don't update their website very often so that's probably the reason for it not being on there.

    Tough one. I have a pair of the SDA-103 in a 31.

They didn't shrink much but they didn't stretch either, even after several years. I still have to breathe in slightly when I do the top button up. It's weird as they are really roomy everywhere else - thighs and leg openings are pretty wide.

What other jeans do you wear, for comparison? I usually buy 30 in Full Count, 30/31 in PBJ, 31 in Momotaro

I'm new to raw jeans so the only pair I own is the Japan Blue JB0412 tapered fit in 30 which fit perfect in the waist but I haven't used them enough to notice how much they'll stretch. I got some pair that aren't raws like regular Levi's and Lee Manchester pants that are in 30.
