  1. I’ve stumbled upon a pair of Evisu heritage jeans. Painted red tab but otherwise unadorned back pockets. The seller didn’t know much more. Does anyone know what fit they are and if they have potential? I read somewhere that they’re supposed to be a Levi’s homage but they don’t seem to be stf.

  2. I’ve got a 2,5year old and another on the way. Also been stockpiling a bit. Nothing as fancy as Levi’s from the 50’s or MIJ jeans but sometimes you can get Acne selvedge jeans for kids quite cheap here in Sweden. Here’s Ingrids collection so far.

The first jeans is a size 2 and the second a size 3. They’re in a white line selvedge. Quite nice. Last two are of a redline selvedge and are much darker and not as nice in my opinion. They’re a size 4.

  3. The TCB 60s I’m wearing for DWC2 needed some TLC where my phone was eating through the pocket bag.

Attached an antique Japanese indigo dyed fabric with indigo dyed sashiko thread.

Flipped it up and sowed another row.

Selvedge on the left so just one row of stitches there. Finished. Some extra fading potential that just me (and you guys) will see.

  4. Time to mend the first holes. Experience tells me that it’s better to get to stuff like this sooner rather than later. Just wish that our usual brands would make sturdier pockets.

Photos of the process in the appropriate thread.

  5. I actually really liked my Bob dong I had (but sold because it didn’t fit me). Some really nifty details like how the sleeves was sown so that there was double fabric at the elbows. A very thought through construction.

  6. Thanks!

My red chambray shirt from Denime actually has the same type of canvas backing. Don’t know how historically accurate it is but it sure makes you wash the shirt more often! ;)

  7. Just got this Beams + 6oz denim work shirt. What follows are some initial thoughts.

Quite standard Japanese repro style fit.

Tripple stitched side seams, sleeves  and armpits. White canvas backing at sleeve openings and yoke. Very soft denim that shrunk about 0-1,5cm at a 30C wash. The fabric got very hairy after the wash.

Some nice puckering at all seams.

^^ It's no difference from before when we only had positive and negative rep. Superrep gives the same + as Posrep or regular rep.

This is the answer I got a couple of pages back. I didn’t help me much but you might find it useful.

Why have 3 different positive reps if they mean the same? A “rep explained” guide from mods would be helpful.

  9. Can someone who owns the vintage fit work shirt in black comment on shrinkage? I’m looking at one but it s seems kinda big going by measurements from rakuten. Thanks!

that's a beauty! I'd love a bell-matic. Is the alarm working? Please post when you receive it. Really enjoying this thread, and the denim world approach to watch choices.

Well put, looked at Bell-matics forever until I got bit by the divers estethics.

  11. What’s the consensus on the quality of the current lineups fabrics?  Is it worth looking for Orizzonti or Shins at yahoo or should I just get what’s readily available? How big and what is the difference if any?

does it hurt the watch if I don't wear it all the time and it stops?

Good on ya! Id start with I cheap one to see if you like it. To answer your question; no, it won’t hurt the watch. In fact it should, theoretically, make the watch last longer until you need to have it looked over by a professional. This due to when it doesn’t move there is no friction on all the moving parts, something you won’t get on a quartz.

However they came with a booklet that was written all in Japanese, and I was wondering if anyone knew the translation?

Try the google translate app. You just take a photo of the text and google translate it for you. Easy peasy. Oh, and nice pic up! Post some fit pics!
