Woah slow down- where is there confirmation of a re-issue? (I only say that because I have hoping). They frequently use older pieces for modeling purposes yes...?

Yeah, doubt it's coming back, but that'd be cool.

Can anyone comment on this season’s DS? Also- the only other DS I own is the S15-DS. Is this the same fabric entirely in terms of both weight and surface/backing?  Appreciate any insight, and nice to be back. Cheers!

By my eyes it's the exact same as last year's P10TS-DS. They have a button fly instead of the snap closure now, though.

Can someone share thoughts on the S21-DS? Sizing, fit pics, material robustness?
Thinking about getting a size M/L.
Thank you in advance for your appreciated insights!

Thinner DS than the pants. Fits true to size, consistent with other sweaters they've produced.

Depends on the conditions. If you have hot and humid summers, DS is going to be a three-season fabric that you put away when the mercury rises. CH is lighter, thinner, and feels like a much less synthetic fabric, but DS drapes a lot more. P17-CH are perfect for hot weather, OTOH, but you wouldn't want to wear them on the side of a mountain.

Thanks. It's too bad CH isn't used as frequently, something Errolson attributes that to the high cost of the fabric.

One other thing that might help everyone when making a purchase, and isn't immediately obvious, is that you can avoid Paypal's jacked up currency conversion rate by opting to let your bank/card issuer handle the conversion. When going through the Paypal checkout process, look for a link that says something along the lines of "conversion options". I saved about $50 CAD by opting for my Visa to be charged in EUR and letting the bank do the conversion directly.

Trouble is, with some purchases that adds precious seconds when it's a brutal race to checkout.

Secondary confirmation for any Canadians here that the duties are, in-fact, nil coming across the border. Just the 13% HST and about $10 brokerage fee for UPS.

Did you have to ask ACR to do anything?

Quick review. Just got the P30-DS in. Updated buckles & belt uses a more rigid webbing than the thin ribbon on previous pants. Kind of hesitant when I first put them on since I've never worn nor liked drop crotch pants but they're growing on me fast. Outside phone pocket can't fit my Note8 with case, but the phone pocket inside the cargo does. Anyway, I think most who copped will enjoy these.

Any chance you could show us a full body shot?

Another j47 variation and even bigger pants.

Does this at least mean acr will be hitting other retailers again this year?

    Retailers are getting them, yup.

The texture gives it a unique feel. It feels much like the inside of a GT shell with added texture.

I guess my concern is whether or not it would add any resistance when sliding the arms through—by my eyes it looks rubberized.

  10. For all the rumours of them skipping SS18 entirely, there seems to be a Lot of stuff coming. Both drops have introduced new items that still have yet to be released.

Sometimes yes.  The 24a-s did a better job than the 24a-ds with larger/heavier items.  But I still have my DS pair, and sold the S so that should tell you enough about which I prefer.  And it's rare I'm carrying something heavy long enough for it to be an issue, since I would have just brought a bag if it was for an extended time.   The 23a has smaller cargo pockets so it's less of an issue.  If you load up both cargoes on one side and have your phone in the phone pocket on that side too, then maybe you would get some bouncing/awkwardness.

I remember people being really unhappy with the belt system on the 23A-DS—how have you found it after an extended period of time now? There's supposed to be a 23A-S in the Fall.

    I believe E confirmed P10-CH isn't dropping this season

He said something about that fabric being expensive, so not this season.

  13. It's Nemen's fabric, so not designed to be waterproof or anything like that. It's breathable but when I was caught in some mild rain, I definitely soaked through a bit on the shoulders. It's still a great jacket.

  14. For those of you in Canada, I spoke with someone at the Customs office. Basically, if you have someone from ACR's shipping department fill this form out and slap it on the box, it should work:

    ----

    (Period: from___________ to __________(1))

The exporter of the products covered by this document (customs authorisation No ...(2)) declares that, except where otherwise clearly indicated, these products are of ...(3) preferential origin.

    …………………………………………………………….............................................(4)
    (Place and date)

    ...……………………………………………………………………..............................(5)
(Signature and printed name of the exporter)

Obviously, getting a response or action from them may be a challenge, but it's worth inquiring. I'm not as well-versed in these matters, so YMMV, but here's hoping for a miracle.

  15. He's made it clear whether through tweet replies or IG comments that cost of production continues to rise past what they're happy with. Coupled with his staunch adherence to the idea that manufacturing clothing shouldn't be evil towards its labor and you get these prices.
